Second house on large lot on dead end street, Two blocks north of the Ballard Locks. 5 minute walk to the beach (Shilshole), or walk to incredible Ballard nightlife and shopping and Ballard Farmer's Market, the best in the City. Beautiful sunsets over the Puget Sound and Secret Beach a couple blocks away, where you can rent paddleboards and kayaks.
Walk to legendary Ray's Boathouse.
Private dedicated parking available behind garage off of the alley behind the house between 56th Street and 57th Street NW, or in front of the house. The ADU is NOT the Tan garage, the first building off the alley.

Large private fenced back yard for barbecue and lounging and bird watching. Bikes available - 2 Las Vegas cruisers on property. Inflatable paddleboards available upon request of owner and also available for rent at Surf Ballard at Secret Beach, a quick walk to the end of 57th Street, the next street.
Your house is located on the back of the lot with separate back entrance off of alley, or entrance through fenced side yard. You have your own kitchen and a deck overlooking the large back yard for fresh air, west facing, so you can see the sunsets. You are welcome to use the back yard to relax, stretch out, have a drink, or lounge in the hammock (summers only). Propane fire pit and patio heater and barbecue grill on patio. Dedicated Wi-Fi. I stay in Ballard frequently and have stayed there in three small VRBOs. This is my favorite of the three. Great location, clean and comfortable, responsive host. It is not for people with mobility limitations as the living space is up a steep stairway. It is also awkward getting in and out of the bed as it is tucked into a cubby and the sides of the bed are not accessible. So one must climb in from the end. A great choice if these quirks are acceptable.

The accommodation was well thought out and well stocked. Our hosts were very responsive and the price point was reasonable. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood and into the main part of Ballard where there are excellent restaurants and shops.

The space was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described—bright, well-designed, and stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The neighborhood was a huge plus: quiet and residential, but just a short walk to great coffee shops, restaurants, and the heart of Ballard.Check-in was smooth and communication with the host was easy and responsive throughout my stay. I really appreciated the thoughtful touches, like local recommendations and clear instructions for everything in the home.Overall, an excellent home base for exploring Seattle. We found the accommodation to be excellent for a couple. It was cute and spread over two floors. The kitchen was well equipped and downstairs. Up a steep flight of stairs was the bathroom with an excellent shower, toilet and basin. The other room contained a double bed on an alcove and a pull out sofa bed which was also the only seating for the room.It was a little tight for two friends but ideal for a couple. In a convenient location.There is laundry facility at the entrance to the accommodation on the ground floor. They contain a washer and dryer and are shared with the residents of the front house.

What a cute little place to stay! Tidy & well stocked with everything you could need & the host was very attentive & nice. (but not overly attentive)We especially enjoyed the lovely outdoor garden patio area to hang in. We too advantage of that quite a bit. Having off street parking was a real plus. If you are older, heavy set, & with slight mobility issues like us, this may not be the place for you. If not, then, we would definitely recommend this place.

Perfect location in Ballard

I used to live in this neighborhood within Ballard and had a wedding to attend nearby, so this was the perfect location to show my partner around. You’re walking distance to convenience/grocery stores, some of my favorite restaurants and bars, and a short bike or scooter ride to Golden Gardens.

A special parking space for this unit , made it very easy coming and going. It had all that I needed and more. Loved the rainforrest? shower. Would stay there again.
