Beautiful Lake Joseph Retreat

Beautiful year round family cottage on Lake Joseph, with a large wrap around deck right at the waters edge. Hardwood flooring and modern kitchen, with large 8ft. island with seating, and both an indoor & outdoor fireplace.

New Construction 3 level Douglas Fir timber-frame with modern amenities. An amazing retreat for a family or group of friends in the quiet northern part of beautiful Lake Joseph.

The Space:

This home is greatly loved by its owners who are looking to rent it out to people who will take great care of it. Provides the perfect relaxing Muskoka getaway with beautiful lake views. Sleeps up to 9 adults. Upper floor has 2 bedrooms, One with a King bed, the second with a double bed and two twin beds with a shared large 4 piece bathroom. The lower level, with walk out to the Shoreline and Dock, has two bedrooms, there is a large master bedroom with a king size bed, walk-in closet & ensuite bathroom w/double sinks and huge walk-in shower w/glass door, and the second with a queen bed adjacent to a 3 piece bathroom with a glass shower

Amenities:

Guests have access to the large deck with 8 person outdoor dining table with umbrella, and 3 large cushioned club chairs + coffee table and 8 Muskoka chairs placed around the property. The crystal clear waters of Lake Joseph are ideal for hours of swimming & sport. Guests will have the use of a small boat, a paddle boat, kayak, large canoe and paddle board. The outdoor fireplace is stocked with wood logs & ideal for evenings of roasting marshmallows.

The Neighbourhood:

The cottage is located in prime Lake Joseph. The people are warm & friendly, and there is plenty to do. Amazing local walking trails just minutes away in Humphrey. A short 20 minute drive to Parry Sound and Georgian Bay with local attractions, shopping, restaurants, marinas and a great fitness trail, accessible for all ages. Gordon Bay Marina is just 5 minutes up the road, with Rocky Crest Resort & Golf Course ten minutes away. Parry Sound Airport also nearby.

Interaction with Guests:

Owner will be there to deliver the keys and to pick them up at the end of the stay. If there are any questions about the area I will be happy to give recommendations.

Other things to note:

This is a great place to have fun, relax & unwind. A great get-away!

Great cottage, with a mix of large wood beams with modern touches. Very comfortable and spacious. Plenty of peaceful sitting spaces, bedrooms and ample bathrooms.Very well appointed with everything you’ll need. Overall, Excellent location, great dock, and lots of watercraft’s and toys. There is a road and rail tracks, so you will hear some of it. But, it’s brief and not loud by the dock and water. Everyone really loved the cottage and we enjoyed our stay. We look forward to booking again.

This cottage is beautiful, water was supreme. Host was very communicative with good suggestions in town. Did try to contact the owner twice to discuss review before posting this, but they did not reach out. Massive drawback is no AC and 1 fan that we were told we could move around if need be-not cutting it. Not every window and door had screens, so we couldn't open everything up for a breeze. Two bedrooms upstairs reaching 38 degrees and 2 bedrooms downstairs that were better but still 28+ made it pretty tough to sleep. Common rooms we were sweating at night sitting down playing cards which was not comfortable. If we didn't have the water access, we would have left as it was pretty much unbearable. Pro moves- laundry, laundry soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower soap, washcloth, shower & beach towels provided. Place was absolutely clean, but they need to reimagine their garbage situation by purchasing a bear box or something similar so garbage can be put outside. With 9-10 guests, you are going to run out of room with one can. Need to rope off the hill as we got stuck and had to push out thinking it was parking, very dangerous with boat parked at the hilltop- need to tell guests where to park. Kitchen appliances (Ikea?) were not easy to use-a booklet or instructions would have been helpful for the microwave and the stove. Need a second fridge for 9-10 guests. My friend fell through a rotten board on the deck, need to look at this, dangerous.
