The hotel is situated in a small town. Sitting before rugged nature and nearby mountain hiking areas, it was a perfect getaway from every day life.
A converted, historic building, it has the charm of a rustic retreat on the outside and then a modern, crafted and clean interior design throughout.
The staff were lovely, the breakfast choice was more than adequate, fresh and delicious. A small hotel that holds a limited number of guests left us feeling treated as if we were the only people there.
The room was one of the smaller ones but had a balcony with a lively view. It was clean, the bathroom was modern, stylish, with small touches of simple, yet luxurious finishing in places. The shower was amazing and left us looking in to how we increase the water pressure back at our own home.
Caimari is a little off the beaten track yet very central, and close enough to many places we ended up visiting. A car hire is essential IMO. Some roads that run between smaller towns are wide only enough for one car in places, with limited passing spaces. At night there is little to illuminate the tight, rough stone walls that leave little room for error, especially if you have to reverse at night. We went in the quiet season and were provided with a brand new BMW 3 series. Somehow I managed to return it unscathed, rare apparently, considering some of the routes I took. I’d recommend hiring something smaller!
Mallorca is a beautiful island and out stay was amazing.
