Pros:Close to plenty of tastings and restaurants in town, 1-5 minute drive to most places in geneva.Place is very clean, one of the cleanest I've stayed in.Host communication was very good.Comfortable bed and pillows.Cons:50 feet from a main highway.Small and tight driveway.Right next to frat houses, could hear their music until 9 pm.Small shower.No microwave.Bed is in the main living area.Unit is not made for multiple couples. “I was looking for a home base to ride several of the Finger Lakes. I lucked out in finding this apartment. Great location for restaurants, downtown and jumping off point for other lakes. ”

“We stayed with our pup for the Labor Day weekend and we loved it. The lodge is actually bigger than appears on the pictures. It is located in the walking distance to all restaurants, the Sodus Point beach and only 20-minute drive to Chimney Bluffs. Matthew was very accommodating and responsive. I highly recommend it.”

“Myself and my very good from high school were celebrating our 60th birthdays. We and our spouses spent the day in Skaneateles, took a boat tour and shopped. We had an excellent dinner at Elderberry Pond and stayed at Steel hideaway.It was a good location, clean, and we loved the deck. The owner was extremely responsive when I had some trouble getting in and then leaving, both my fault and lack of knowledge. The owner was patient and responded quickly which we appreciated. “Shelwyn was awesome to deal with. He responded ASAP when we had a question about the shower. Was upfront and helpful. He was in his house on the property but gave us our privacy. The last day of our stay he said take your time getting out because he didn’t have another booking following us. Worked out great as we were moving onto a bigger spot with the rest of our family on Saturday but couldn’t check in until 4. “Have stayed at other locations of the same host and this one was just as great! Perfect location for walking around to local shops and restaurants. Two bedrooms was enough space for 2 couples. Shampoo/conditioner, plates, silverware, coffee all were provided which is nice while traveling. Shower is AMAZINGGG, huge and great water pressure. Host was quickly responsive and so helpful. 10/10 would stay again!”

“Love the old homes with the super high ceilings! They have a lot of class and charm. Everything was in walking distance. Would highly recommend the Balloons restaurant, for their top notch service and food. If you want see the historical sites in town, check the sites online info. Some sites and restaurants have limited availability in the winter months. ”
