“We had an amazing stay at this beach house. The location was perfect, the house was very clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Overall, it was a great experience and we truly enjoyed our time there. The only area for improvement would be the check-in process and communication, which could have been smoother and more responsive. Other than that, we would definitely stay here again.”

“I had to clean the room myself, and bedding were offered to be changed only once in the week. Water in the bathroom strangely stopped and led to usage of a bucket instead. Insects were found in the bathroom and the manager explained it was because he has put a pesticide, so it was normal. All this in top of paying the bill for hydro used in the room (information provided after the room is rented and this is non refundable. The area is so unsafe, people stay inside after sunset by fear of being...

“The location is in Safari village. There is a restaurant in walking distance on the beach and the beach is very close. Very quiet and everyone was friendly”

“Villa Somone was a wonderful home base for our trip! Papa, our host, was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. His hospitality really made the experience special. The villa was about 45 minutes from the airport and 1.5 hours from downtown Dakar. We opted for a private cook through Papa at an additional cost, and it was absolutely worth it — the meals were fantastic, and having that option made our stay even more...

“The property owner had his maid write a hand note telling us to pay water and electricity and debated with us prior to leaving as I speak Wolof the native language of Senegal. NO WHERE ON THE LISTING does it state you have to pay for such basic things that you’d think comes with a villa… maybe he only tried to get me to do this who knows because I read reviews before booking. I made sure to take a picture of the note. Nice space otherwise and could use some air fresheners in the bathrooms.”
