“It’s a lovely hotel and very convenient stop. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
We only had breakfast but it was delicious and plenty of it. The decor was lovely but needed a bit of tidying and the vase on the table needed a clean. I’m not keen on fake flowers which gather dust and the winter sun shows the glass vase needing a polish.
I’m being picky hoping I’m being helpful. It was a fab stay and I thoroughly recommend it and would stay again. ”

“Really lovely room, comfy bed and facilities available. staff were very friendly and helpful, so close to the retail park and easy 3-4 minute walk to the bus stop to get into the city centre.we will be back.”

“I forgot what they call it when there’s a gem within a gem; I think the term is inclusion. In any case Durham itself as a gem, and this hotel feels like the best of the charming character of Durham distilled into a building that’s at once historical, and yet completely full of modern convenience.”
“Hotel Staff were Very Nice. Parking/ Car Park is accessible. The bedroom was nice but maybe on the smaller side. The bed had a few back marks on the sheets.
One downside to being next to the sea is that you can hear the seagulls all night but this isn’t the hotels fault. No coffee or Tea in the room.
