L'appartamento della nostra famiglia, arredato con molto gusto e amore, non è un tipico appartamento per vacanze in cui si trova solo lo stretto indispensabile per un breve soggiorno, ma è pensato per la vita quotidiana e adatto anche per soggiorni prolungati. Situato in una palazzina del tranquillo quartiere di San Prospero, è a due passi da San Domenico e a soli 10 minuti a piedi dal centro storico di Siena (e per chi non se la sente di camminare, l'autobus che ferma davanti a casa porta in pochi minuti e con una sola fermata fino all'inizio della zona pedonale).

L'accesso dalla strada prevede di scendere mezzo piano nel 1° seminterrato, nonostante l'appartamento sia al 3° piano: la casa infatti è costruita in pendenza e l'ingresso dal lato strada in realtà è a metà altezza dell'edificio!

Tutte le stanze sono arredate con mobili antichi: le due ampie camere da letto sono dotate di tutto il necessario (lenzuola, asciugamani) e hanno parquet a spina di pesce, mentre nel resto della casa si cammina su un tipico pavimento di marmo, che in soggiorno sorprende con il suo tono giallo terra di Siena... I due bagni, rinnovati di recente e prestigiosi, sono entrambi dotati di finestra, con vasca da bagno e doccia. La cucina dispone di tutti i confort: numerosi armadi, lavatrice, lavastoviglie e frigorifero, microonde, forno, fornelli a gas e tutto quello che serve per una normale vita in famiglia.
Il soggiorno colpisce per l'eleganza dell'arredamento, l'ampiezza e la magnifica vista sulla collina del Duomo che si gode dalle finestre. Unica davvero.

Sul balcone del soggiorno un tavolino mosaicato e due seggioline con comodi cuscini invitano a godersi il panorama in compagnia di un caffè, un buon vino rosso o un libro interessante!
Tutti e tre i balconi dispongono di tende da sole!

IMPORTANTE: in estate è possibile climatizzare il soggiorno o la camera da letto più grande (blu) con un climatizzatore mobile Pinguino di ultima generazione, efficace e silenzioso. Entrambe le camere da letto dispongono inoltre di potenti ventilatori.
Ultimamente, la pressione dell'acqua calda aveva lasciato a desiderare: dal 2020 un nuovo scaldabagno procura il massimo comfort per bagno e doccia, con getto d'acqua forte e caldissimo.

Our host was a Rock Star. The picture from the patio looking across to the Church was so much better in person. At night the Cathedral was light up, we had a lemonchello and watched the full moon rise. Everything was in walking distance and we fully enjoyed our neighborhood. We can't say enough about the apartment, the location, etc. The furnishings, chandeliers and views were so underatted in the description. Allesandra went above and beyond for what we've experienced with other VRBO hosts! Hands down, this is a 5 star property,.

Lovely accommodation, view and location

This apartment is everything it’s advertised to be and more! The furnishings are grand with an old-world charm. The flat is very spacious and there are great views from the multiple balconies. Just a quick 10 minute walk puts you into the heart of Sienna. A small market is just a 7 minute walk.Lots of street parking - but a LOT of competition for those spaces.

Week in Tuscany

The apartment was very spacious and filled with beautiful antiques. The four of us had plenty of room to spread out. The views and locations were magnificent- close enough to town but quiet. Exploring Siena was easy with a short taxi ride to city center and then long walks through historic streets. We enjoyed the patios every morning and evening and took advantage of the kitchen With cooking breakfast and apertivos. We found everything we needed as well as an extensive instruction about apt and recommendations for dining, sights and activities. We highly recommend this as your choice for Siena lodging.

Stop in Tuscany

Location of this place is outstanding, a nice easy walk into the center of the historical area and to a small nearby food market. The apartment is nicely furnished with primarily antiques, spacious and welcoming, though a bit musty smelling. Bathrooms were updated and very clean. We continuously had problems with the Wi-Fi service, and though the owner was promptly responsive in regard to checking in and out there was zero response to our Wi-Fi questions. A heads up that parking is more challenging than presented - we were there during the off season so I can’t imagine what it would be like in season. To not have a car would be preferable.

Apartment with a view in Sienna.

This is a lovely property with wonderful views. It is far outside of the city center where we wanted to spend our time. Parking/driving is very tricky so we used cabs. The cabs were very easy to get. Owners left lots of good information for us at the apartment.

A Beautiful Siena Getaway

The apartment was huge and beautifully furnished with antiques and paintings of museum quality. Alessandra was super helpful in getting us settled and quick to respond to any queries. The location was great as a short walk to the historic center of Siena, also to a cafe with yummy coffee and pastries [up the steps from the public parking] and to a small grocery store with everything you may need. The only issue we experienced during our stay was parking our rental as street spots were rare as were ones in the large public lot minutes away [in particular over the weekend]. Aside from that the place was perfect and Siena is such a pretty city with the most beautiful Duomo I have ever visited [apart from St. Peter's Basilica in Rome]. Highly recommend !

Beautiful Apartment!

Looking at the outside of this apartment building, you would never know what hidden gem is awaiting on the inside. This apartment was not only huge, but gorgeous! From the marble floors and antiques to the incredible view of Siena, we were in awe. There was a lot of love and care put into this home. The kitchen was well stocked and functional. The neighborhood is quiet and felt safe. It is about a 15 minute walk to the medieval town but it's a scenic one. My only complaints are that the bed was VERY hard & uncomfortable and the antique living room chairs/couches were not ones we could really relax on. When we visit Siena again, I hope to stay in this beautiful apartment again.

Excellent accommodations

Perfect, walkable location to get to restaurants and the city center. The home is beautiful, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Communication with our host was excellent. We highly recommend this property and would stay again if visiting Sienna in the future.

The photos from the balcony are 100 % true! Fabulous setting to end your day with a bottle of wine. Super outfitted kitchen, great to cook in if you are a foodie. Big spacious rooms. We stayed long enough to learn the pathways into the city centre walking. Great stay , loved it.

Nice apartment for couples

My husband and I along with my sister and brother in law stayed three nights. The well appointed apartment fit our needs and was in walking distance to most restaurants. The mattresses were good in both bedrooms!! We would stay here again if we’re lucky enough to travel to Siena.

A spacious and homely apartment

The apartment is very spacious with lots of antiques and has a home from home feel. It is about a 20 min walk into town, uphill in places but straight forward. Parking is tight so bring a small car 😊. The views across to the old town are great and the balcony space a plus.

This apartment felt like a cozy home. I walked in and couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. It has gorgeous antique furniture. My husband said the best part of the trip was the four of us sitting on the balcony, drinking wine and eating cheese. I didn’t want to leave!

Spacious, convenient apartment in Siena, walkable to historic town center

We enjoyed our 10-day stay at this conveniently located and roomy apartment, an easy walk to the main piazza in downtown Siena. It was clean and had a well-supplied kitchen and laundry, two key requirements for us for week-plus stays. The property manager met us at the door with the key and showed us around. The apartment itself also has several small balconies (though no furniture on them) and from two of them you have a lovely view of Siena. Living in this apartment felt very much like we had taken over an Italian grandma's house, with the covered furniture, dark paintings and glass chandeliers all from an older time, though I suppose that matches the vibe of a medieval city. However the wardrobes in the bedroom have a strong mothball smell and were the only closets, so we didn't use them and kept them closed. Although there is a small parking area across the street, parking is slightly stressful as there is no designated spot, we often felt like we got the last spot on the entire street. Small grocery stores are also within walking distance. Overall, the apartment worked fine for us.
