Renovated Home with Retro Charm and proximity to Downtown Sister Bay

Welcome to High Garden, hosted by Simple Life Rentals! A Door County family home for generations, this one-story house was completely renovated in 2017. The spacious kitchen is fully modernized with stainless-steel appliances and a stone countertop for a wonderful space to prepare meals. The nearby dining room comfortably seats 8. The living room boasts a large sectional couch perfect for watching a movie on the 50″ LED HD TV or getting cozy with your laptop, tablet, or smartphone. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, 42″ LED HD TV, and an ensuite bathroom. The shower has a low entry threshold making it easy to get in and out. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms spaciously accommodate queens and LED TVs.

This property allows up to 3 well-behaved dogs. There is an additional fee collected at booking.

Parking available for 2 cars.

Amenity + damage protection waiver includes:
-Bed linens, pillows, blankets, and bathroom towels. (Please bring your own beach towels)
-A starter pack of essentials which includes toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap, and garbage bags. Due to septic systems, we do not provide facial tissue. One each of travel size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash per full bathroom.
-PEACE OF MIND Damage protection covers up to $1000 per stay for accidental damage that is reported prior to departure (excludes any pet damage).

This property is located in a quiet community with neighbors and is geared towards quiet family vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors and municipal restrictions, we cannot accommodate parties at the property including bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions, weddings, or other gatherings.

Sister Bay reunion

House was charming and good location to all of the local activities and waking distance to everything we needed. A little close to the road (road noise), but not the end of the world. Our friends and family had a great time!

Great Vacation

Had some communication bumps at first but once it was worked out all was good. I would make a recommendation to remove the toy snakes from the toy box. Just saying. The house was great and met our needs very well

The layout of the house was great, as was the location. We also enjoyed the fenced in backyard. The house is not well maintained. The toilet paper holder was torn off the wall in one of the bathrooms. The wall had not been repaired. A roof leak occurred at some point. The ceiling had not been properly fixed. The house had a very unpleasant, musty smell as soon as you walked in the door. There is a water issue somewhere that has not been resolved. We paid $4,000 for 3 nights. I expected more.

Liked staying in town without being downtown

Enjoyed the quiet and privacy of this home. Close enought to downtown to walk to for coffee and shopping without being right in the mix of things downtown. Nice fenced backyard to throw a ball for our dog. Nice deck and fire pit, great lighting of the backyrad. Enjoyed the open flow of the house. Comfortable beds had everything we needed.

Strong Animal Odor

During our recent family stay at a Vrbo rental, we encountered an issue with a noticeable animal urine odor. While the property itself had some positive aspects, such as its location and amenities, the strong smell was a significant drawback. We found it challenging to fully enjoy our stay due to this unpleasant experience. We kindly suggest that the property owner takes immediate action to address this matter, as it greatly affected our overall satisfaction with the rental. We hope this feedback will assist future guests in making their rental choices.

Great home walkable location!

This home was well appointed inside and had amazing outside space!! We enjoyed grilling out and sitting around the bonfire in the nice private yard. Very easy walk to Sister Bay restaurants and shops!!

Cute, clean & convenient home in Sister Bay

The house was perfect for our little weekend getaway, conveniently located in walking distance to restaurants and shops in Sister Bay. The house was clean and updated and so comfortable for our family. The backyard was a great size for our son to run around and play soccer while the adults enjoyed a nice cold beverage on the patio. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in Door County.

Great location

We enjoyed staying at this home for the weekend while visiting family. It's nicely updated, has a spacious kitchen, a large fenced backyard, and it's an easy walk to restaurants, etc.
