The breakfast bar with seating for two pairs perfectly with the dining area for six 🍴.
On the main floor, you’ll find a cozy Queen bedroom 🛏️ with an adjoining tub/shower bath, plus a bunk room with twin beds and its own walk-in shower 🚿. A half bath is also located on this level. The living room boasts floor-to-ceiling windows with breathtaking views 🌊, a fireplace 🪵, TV, and a cabinet stocked with books 📚, board games 🎲, and blankets for cozy evenings. Step out to the wrap-around deck to enjoy fresh air, plenty of seating, and a propane grill for al fresco dining 🍔.

Great Lake Access

Enjoyed family vacation at lake house. House is in a great location, middle of the lake in a quiet cove. Easy access from the house to the dock and the steps into the lake were a top priority for my family. Both were easy for the 77 year old and the 20 month old. House was clean, beds were comfortable. Kitchen was small but well stocked. House faces west so sunsets were magnificent. Wish there were some shade or curtains to block the sun in the afternoon and shade on the dock, but we managed to get away from the hot sun. Would definitely consider renting again. Thank you!

Wonderful Stay!

My family of five had a great stay at the "Hangout" on Lake Keowee. The two story windows with the view of the lake, were spectacular. The lake access was great and we used the paddle boards and kayaks and fished off of the property and the dock. The downstairs living space was really great, and we loved the decks and the hot tub. We rented a boat from Sunset Marina (7 min drive) and had a great time on the water, tubing and swimming. Lake Keowee is really beautiful. I left off a star because the decking needs some TLC. I did not let my children walk on it barefoot due to some warping and elevated screws. Also, the kitchen is a little tight. It was fine for us, but for a larger group, it would have been tight. But the property and the views were sooo great. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Easter weekend

We stayed in this property for Easter weekend to see my two girls that are at Clemson . We were a group of 8 adults and had a fabulous time ! House is roomy with plenty of baths and was very clean . The backyard is a bonus with beautiful views . We were blessed with sunny warm weather for our visit which was wonderful ! Will definitely book again !

The Hangout is the perfect get away for a family

The view of the lake in the mornings and evenings from several different spots at this lovely home makes it one of the nicest locations we’ve stayed at in years. I loved the fact that the owners provide both kayaks and a paddle board to use in the lake, and the floating dock makes it a snap to launch both watercraft. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay at that terrific property longer - next time….

Delightful setting

As soon as we drove up to the house we were thrilled. The house has a beautiful view. As we walked down to the dock, we all took a breath seeing the large cove in front of us and the deck at the water's edge. We enjoyed the deck off the great room at the house facing the lake where we sat in early morning for coffee and evening after dinner. The bedrooms were perfect and the view from the house was beautiful. We would definitely return to The Hang Out!

Fun Family Vacation

The Hangout is a fantastic choice for a vacation getaway! Our family of ten rented it for my nephew's graduation from Clemson and it was perfect! The location is secluded enough to offer privacy, yet close enough to Clemson to offer convenience. It's an amazing property with stunning views of the lake and beautiful sunsets. The house is spacious and well-appointed with many extra details like games and puzzles that make family time even more fun! One of the best features is the outdoor area. There is a nice seating area under the house with a fire pit and hot tub and a private dock where we enjoyed fishing, swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding. I highly recommend this property for both relaxation and fun on the lake! Our family hopes to return in the future!

Shady Pines Vacay Club

The place was absolutely stunning. It is great for warmer weather or cooler weather. There is a hot tub, easy access to the lake with steps, paddle board, kayaks, a fire pit, grill, a green egg. The kitchen was fantastic with amazing appliances. A great downstairs area to gather! I had a friend send me a text asking for the link after seeing the views we shared.

Great Lake Vacation

House was as described. Great views from every floor. Cove was safe for swimming for all ages. Floor plan works well. The primary bedroom is on the second floor with wonderful lake views although the bedroom is open to the first floor so noises from the first floor do not allow total privacy. House is located mid lake and 15 minutes to grocery stores, etc. Will definitely return.

The Hangout in Six Mile

We had an awesome stay and play week with family from GA, SC and CO. Love the access to lake “toys”, the quiet cove for swimming and sunning. The house was perfect for us, 3 couples, the MIL and the grandson. Great views, great gathering areas, 2 grills, high end appliances. Will be back.

Amazing lake rental

This house was perfect for a family getaway. They thought of everything you need to have a relaxing stay at the lake. There were 2 kayaks on site and a paddle board (worked ok but was missing fin). Great coffee machine - keurig for pods and/or ground coffee, several smart tv's... Lots of dishes, steak knives and accoutrements for cooking and serving. We will def stay again!! Thank you!

NICE VIEW BUT NOT 5 STAR

First, the pluses: Nice view of the lake. Has gas fire pit, hot tub, and kayaks. Has 5 bedrooms: Large BR in the loft, and 4 small bedrooms. Now the minuses: Main level has surprisingly narrow "great room" facing the back. BR's on main level are only 8 feet wide, so with a queen bed, there is no room for night tables or dresser. The mattress in our BR sagged and made loud squeaking noises. The floors are pine planks and creak loudly, especially in the kitchen/dining area,which is problematic if you wake up at night to get water from fridge, and don't want to wake up the others. The wood deck in back is old and very weathered, with screws sticking up. Not for bare feet! There are 2 TV's but there is no cable or satellite service. Kitchen has plenty of utensils, but hand can opener does not work, just make a hole and spins. One reviewer wrote: "....similar to 5 star hotel". Based on what? Be suspicious when all the previous posted ratings are 5 star. This is an expensive rental, so I did not expect such a small house, with so many issues. Posted by Rich, one of 7 in our group.

Our family needed a little break and your home delivered…as soon as we arrived we felt love and comfort…we immediately understood why the home was already booked for the entire summer and felt so grateful that we managed to slip in for two days…we enjoyed every moment in this beautiful home! Week of Sunsets!

Loved the location and the house. 15 min from Clemson, great sunset views, close to marinas for boat fuel. All the amenities you can think of (kayaks, paddle board, gas fire pit, board games, hot tub) It was a little smaller than what I expected but 9 family members enjoyed our stay very much.

Beautiful Lake House

We had 2 families with older kids and rented a pontoon boat. There are 2 kayaks and a paddle board at the house. The view is breathtaking! We had our morning coffee on the back patio and had the fire pit going as well. So relaxing! We also had our small doggies with us and they loved to play around and chase each other in the back yard. We would love to come back and stay at this house.
