Motel a Smith River

“There are several things to report. First, finding the office was a nightmare that required knocking on doors of people who lived in nearby trailers. Finally, we found it near an old stranded boat! But we loved the place. The view of Smith River and the Ocean was great and there were many amenities including an excellent fridge, a stove, cups, dishes, and plates--all the stuff we needed. The only negative was that some of the electrical outlets did not seem to work. You have to try several...

“The flooring was coming apart and the mirror was dissolving from the inside out. Shower curtain held up with bits of plywood, this was a premium double queen, would hate to see what regular looks like. Was expensive for what I got. 160 for a motel room that badly needs care and repairs. Definitely would shop around.”

“Overall we had a good stay but I tried to reach out to staff about air pods that were left behind and never received a return message. The AirPods are still being tracked and we’re on the grounds when checked but have moved from the original location. If staff picked up it would have been nice to have them returned. You can never trust anyone anymore. Would still appreciate a response, they are my daughters and she is very upset that she left them.”
