“It’s really a perfect hotel”

“We arrived late at night due to unforeseen circumstances and had a difficult time getting into our room. No one was in the office and it was closed, so we had to knock on the door until someone came. They seemed very annoyed, but told us that our key was already in our room and the room was unlocked. We didn’t love that the room was accessible to anyone before we got there. The place itself was good. There was milk in the fridge and a couple of cookies. No frills place but it got the job done...

“Property ideal for us. The one negative was a ceiling air vent that we couldn't control and made a bit of background noise at night. Were told you just twist it shut but that didn't work. Otherwise, fine”

“The room was clean and very quaint! The owners were very nice and gave interesting insight into the wine making process in the valley. They made us feel right at home, and even gave us a few pieces of amazing fruit they had picked that day! The tasting they offer is a must-try; they’re doing things with wine nobody else is, and it works! The hot pools are also a fantastic way to relax after a long hike! The glass room in the olive grove feels like a portal directly to the Tuscan countryside!”

“Check-in was a breeze. The receptionist was very friendly. Room was relatively clean upon entering, though it smelled a little of bacon grease, I had to air out the room, which was simple to do as there are windows that are easily accessible on the patio door. The washer/dryer inside the unit was very convenient as well the kitchen stove and microwave. I have asked for a ground floor room due to the fact I didnot want to have to carry my luggage up the stairway, I was given an accessible...

“We had a wonderful stay at The Moorings. In fact so lovely that we booked in again on our way back from Queenstown. Darren was very welcoming, he gave us some good tips for our travel routes and we had some great chats - a lovely guy. The property itself was very comfortable, well maintained, quiet, clean and had a lovely view of the lake. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils. Highly recommend!”
