“The hotel was very poorly staffed throughout our stay. 75%+ of tables had dirty glasses / empty bottles that needed clearing. All draught options were off at the bar and we were charged 20% service for opening 2 bottles of beer. The spa was ok but very tired. The changing rooms had a lot of broken plastic worksurfaces. The pool itself was ok but had clearly had a rushed refurbishment with a poorly fitting pool liner. It all felt quite claustrophobic. The jacuzzi was way over-chlorined...

“Original grand building in a pleasant location.
Poor value for money.
Reluctant to check in early, despite agreed that we could to be able to attend a wedding on time.
Disappointing view from Room 7 and 8 even though booking was made 7 months earlier. When this was mentioned to the staff at reception, we were told we had not paid extra for the view.
The staff members in the dining room were very helpful and friendly.”
