On a quiet, private road by the river, the cottage is surrounded by mature trees and a woodland-style garden. You’ll be greeted by the chirps of the birds and the sounds of the water flowing out back.
The location is serene and ideal. Within a 5-8 minute drive, you'll find Sauble Beach, shops, restaurants, golf, groceries, and LCBO. If you’re looking for a day trip, both Tobermory and Blue Mountain are just an hour away.
The cottage comfortably accommodates four people, offering plenty of space for group activities or if needed, quiet spots to retreat. Each of the two bedrooms features a comfortable queen bed—perfect for sharing. Create lasting memories by preparing breakfast together or engaging in friendly competition at the chessboard, or perhaps you just wanna kick back and enjoy the crackle and smell of the wood stove.
Outside, the large deck with a second tier overlooks the flowing river, creating an ideal spot for dining and relaxation in the hammock. Fire up the Kamado for an outdoor cooking experience, infusing your meals with a taste of the great outdoors. The river maintains its flow year-round, offering clear morning views and if you’re an early riser, you might catch the trout gathering! Another enjoyable activity is huddling around the rustic fire pit for s’mores and storytelling. Keep an eye out for the curious chipmunks that often come to say hello, and don’t be surprised if you spot a wild turkey casually strolling by.
Surrounded by the charm of nature and the seclusion of the cottage, it's hard to resist leaving. However, nearby coastal towns like Southampton, Port Elgin, and Oliphant offer plenty of exploration opportunities and are well worth a visit. From beaches and boardwalks to hiking trails, canoeing at the marina, fishing, and waterfalls—you can find it all just a stone's throw away.
