“We stayed at this hotel as a last minute getaway and took our German Shepherd. We had a room with 2 doubles which are the pet friendly rooms. The room was recently really nicely remodeled and was very clean. The beds were comfortable and it was very peaceful and quiet. We really enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to go back. “I love historical homes, and stay at them often. This one (built in 1717) takes the cake! It’s beautiful, authentic and extremely well-preserved. It’s literally a museum (open for tours on designated dates), but is also a homey and comfortable place to spend the night. The host / owner, Justin, is very personable, and incredibly knowledgeable about the home’s history, as well as local history. Everything was clean, neat and comfortable.
