“I only stayed for a couple of nights and would loved to have stayed longer. The cabin was great with a very generous selection of treats waiting on arrival. I loved the range of cooking appliances even if didn’t have time to use them. Diane was very helpful pointing me in a couple of directions related to my reason for being in that part of Tasmania.”

“We absolutely loved our stay. Very clean, cost and picturesque. Would recommend having a car to be mobile. The hosts are not far so getting help with any issues would be pretty easy. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quick getaway.”

“The host came and spoke to us asking about our two dogs we had with us during our stay. He was somewhat upset and rude. We were told the hosts were fine with dogs, however we needed to let them know beforehand and us bringing them would attract an additional fee. This was not mentioned anywhere in the Expedia listing and we were taken quite aback as we had no knowledge of this rule. The owner also told us he would lock up their pet chickens during our stay. “Highly recommend Channel Cabin if you are planning a day trip to Bruny Island. It is just a short drive away from the ferry in Kettering. The boat cruise from Adventure Bay was the highlight of our trip!The cabin was very clean and cosy. The heat pump was sufficient to heat the whole cabin. The kitchen was well equipped and we really appreciated having the air fryer and coffee pod machine.
