Cottage a Southwest Harbor

“Hot water was a bit slow to get. It’d take about 5 minutes for the hot water to even start when using the shower. Other than that, this property was very nice. Cute little cottages with everything you’d need for a hiking vacation. The owner was very responsive and nice. Great amenities on the property too which you don’t see in many other places. Will certainly book here again in the future if we return to Acadia. ”

“First time visiting Maine and Acadia, and Summerwood Cottage was simply perfect for our needs. The location is wonderful and everything in the cottage has been thoughtfully considered. It was great to prepare our own meals from time to time, and we found everything we needed was on hand. It was amazing to be able to be in the peace and beauty of Acadia, yet just a short drive from restaurants, etc. in Bar Harbor. We highly recommend this cottage and would love to return one day!”

“I absolutely love staying here! A beautiful view, so peaceful with the lake every morning. It was a save for me with the microwave and stove so I can cook dinner for myself since I didn’t want to rely on the fire for food. A dream solo vacation with just me a dog. Highly recommend!”

“The property owner was wonderful providing info and help as needed. The kitchen was well equipped for those who like to prepare meals. Staying on the "quiet side" of Mt. Desert Island was good for us. We had easy access to Acadia National Park and could drop into the busyness of Bar Harbor when we wanted that experience.”

“The location is awesome overlooking the bay. This was a last minute vrbo selection for us and we could not have been happier. Looking out the windows to view the boats and harbor was like a post card of Maine come true. Although it was just the two of us, the house can easily accommodate 6 people. 2 bathrooms are always a bonus. Communication with the property management was excellent.”

“Words cannot accurately describe the beauty of this property. Located right on the ocean, the views are spectacular and we enjoyed every minute we spent here, taking in the sunrises and watching the lobster boats in Frenchman's Bay. We loved staying in Hancock, which is a nice distance from all the places we love to visit when in Maine Chippers Restaurant is right down the road and my husband enjoyed the Lobster Alfredo immensely. We find ourselves in Ellsworth and Bar Harbor often when we visit...
