“Property was really tired and rough around the edges. Chipped and cracked tiles along with flaking and faded paint, with mold in a few places. There was thick dirt scum on the fridge handle which I managed to clean off myself. But yeah, disgusting. Epic view of the water though, that was the highlight.”

“Beach Retreat has an amazing location, one of the best positions at Coolum. Walking distance of eateries, across the road to beach. Lovely pool and spa. The room itself is tired, chairs and mat worn and grotty, cleaning to be improved in general. On checkout, i was not asked for any feedback, no comment. I did enjoy my visit.”

“The room was beautiful and clean, Tess the manager was so friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the whole room was set out perfectly. We had the pool right outside of our room too.”

“Excellent location right on the beach, with a huge heated pool as well as many other amenities. Nice walkway in a wooded setting along the beach.Shopping nearby. Our room was quite small, but there are others to choose from. Noise may be an issue as we had a couple of frisky game playing younger set next door. The TV system is bewilderingly complex, and after we gave up the tech guy (who came right away) advised a component was faulty. The complexity remained, however.”

“Hilltop Hideaway is an excellent place to stay. Beautiful view over the back of the property. Very clean. The mattress on bed is just right for my husband and myself. The host and hostess are warm and friendly. Excellent breakfast. ”

“Dirty cups and cutlery and found used needle packet underneath bed, room could have been cleaned and maintained better as well as there was expired milk servings in the fridge but staff were very friendly and helpful.”

“Stunning ocean front views and large apartment. Great location. The only downside was the carpets had marks throughout and was in need of shampooing and there were clumps of black hair all through the carpets and bathrooms and supplied items were missing.”

“The staff were amazing. I was travelling with 3 kids. After getting mucked around from my previous hotel, Ashleigh on reception was amazing! The next day she moved our room to accomodate us more. I cant speak highly enough of the staff, everyone i came in contact with were awesome! I will be back. Many thanks!!”

“Initial room allocated for week stay did not have views as had been advertised in promotional photos for 2 bedroom ocean view apartment. Requested a change and was put in a privately owned apartment in complex - condition of room (furniture etc) slightly poorer, but views were spot on.”
