About this space
Direct ocean front condo. Bedroom w/king bed. Fully-stocked kitchenette, living room & dining area. Living room opens to ocean-front patio with balcony. Hear the ocean from your condo. Enjoy miles of beaches, walk to restaurants; go downtown and visit the historic sites. Plenty to do with the kids too. 15 minutes to downtown. The complex offers a heated pool for guests, a private boardwalk leading to the beach, and convenient coin-operated laundry facilities. Pet friendly, 2 max ($50/pet/stay)


The space
Indulge in a remarkable vacation experience at our direct oceanfront condo. The bedroom boasts a luxurious king-sized bed, ensuring a restful sleep after exciting days by the beach. The fully-stocked kitchenette is equipped with all the essentials, allowing you to prepare meals at your convenience. Relax in the comfortable living room, complete with a dining area for enjoyable meals with loved ones. As you step out of the living room, be greeted by the breathtaking ocean views that unfold before you from the ocean-front patio with a balcony. Immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere as you listen to the soothing sounds of the waves crashing against the shore.


Guest access
Our prime location offers endless opportunities for fun and exploration. You'll have access to miles of pristine beaches, perfect for sunbathing, swimming, or building sandcastles with the kids. Additionally, an array of local restaurants awaits within walking distance, offering delectable dining options. If you're in the mood for history, a short trip downtown will lead you to captivating historic sites.

There is a ton of free parking in front of the building. Please be aware that this is not a newly built, luxurious building. Folks come back year after year for the beautiful beach access and views, oceanfront patios, and heated pools, but if you're looking for a luxurious stay we suggest searching elsewhere as the condo itself is dated.

The unit is in Beacher's Lodge, address is 6970 A1A South. The map may not show the correct location, so make sure to look at the address before booking.
Other things to note


We warmly welcome your furry companions, as we are a pet-friendly establishment with a maximum limit of two pets per stay. Please note that there is a pet fee of $50 per pet per stay.

***BUILDING PROJECTS***
Beginning in October 2023 and lasting until the end of December 2023, Beacher's Lodge is expecting to have a few more projects being completed.

1. Crescent Beach Dune Renourishment - Mid November to December 2023:
Crescent Beach will be scheduled for a dune renourishment project. While we await further details, please be aware that this project may affect our beach access. Beacher's lodge may have to shut down their beach access. We are hopeful that the boardwalk will remain open to be able to guide you past the work area. However, please understand that we will be impacted, and there might be sand trucks working in front of our property during this time. The more the information becomes available, we will be sure to pass along.
- Work for Crescent beach is set for early to mid November. We heard an estimate of around 11/9 but that date is not set.
- The work schedule will be Monday through Saturday from 6:30 am to 7pm.
- They believe the project will be quick moving and anticipate being in front of our property directly for only a couple of days. During these 2-3 days our boardwalk and access to the beach will have to remain closed for working hours (6:30 am to 7pm). They cannot provide the exact dates of this closure, so we will have to provide that information as soon as it is provided to us.
- They will be closing the beach parking lot next door to us for the duration of the time they will be working on the beach in our area and will not allow pedestrian traffic through or use of the county beach boardwalk, so this will not be an option when our beach access is closed. While they stated they would not be parking heavy equipment there, they do intend to use this area next door for staging.
- They will be adding another dune directly in front of the existing dunes and the height is approximately 13' in height. They will plant sea oats in this newly formed dune.
- The purpose of this additional dune is more sacrificial, they say there is a 20% chance each year that a storm will come and wash away this sand, but the aim is to keep it from washing away the remainder of the existing dunes behind this new sand dune.
- Because our boardwalk extends 50' past the dunes, we do not expect our beach stairs to be impacted, they will put dirt underneath the boardwalk and around the pilings.
- There will be large equipment - dump trucks and excavators. This equipment will be noisy. They will bring vibration detection equipment to make sure that the vibrations do not exceed the allowed threshold, but we may hear some noise and/or vibrations during the working hours.

2. Property Maintenance Tasks - October 23rd, 2023 to December 22nd 2023:
Beacher's Lodge will have Complete Property Services return this fall to finish a punch list of items on property. In addition to the punch list, there is a small list of change order requests that will need to be approved and could potentially fill in some of the timeline provided below. From 10/23/23 until possibly 12/22/23 there will be workers present on property Monday- Friday, 8am to 6pm. There will be no property work performed on Saturdays and Sundays, there will be no work on Thanksgiving Thursday or Friday and we hope to be completed prior to the Christmas holiday week.

In the timeline below you will see specific weeks where we will be working on repainting the yellow transition stripes at the end of each alcove. When this work was done in early spring, there were too many visitors and people stepped and tracked through this yellow paint. Beacher's Lodge is requesting that we restrict occupancy of our condo during the specified week for the floor our condo is on. There will be grinding initially to remove the existing coatings and the yellow product will be reapplied and will need adequate time to dry.

10/23 - 10/27: Initial setup and general public areas, ground level items like cracks, paint bubbles etc.
10/30 - 11/3: 4th floor Occupancy Restriction to paint alcove step up yellow paint, stucco patches on ground floor
11/06 - 11/10: 3rd floor Occupancy Restriction to paint alcove step up yellow paint , stucco patches
11/13 - 11/17: 2nd floor Occupancy Restriction to paint alcove step up yellow paint , stucco patches
11/20 - 11/22: General public areas - Public area items IE cracks, stucco etc.
11/23 - 11/24: Thanksgiving break
11/27 - ?: General public areas, done before Christmas break or sooner.

Condo was very clean. Appliances are outdated but work just fine. View of the ocean from balcony are spectacular. One of the most important things to me is host communication and it was fabulous. Quick response very time. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

It was ok

I like the property, I have been here before. This unit was privately owned and not kept up very well. One of the AC units was not working as well as the TV in the bedroom. I had to plunge the toilet a few times the furniture was old and when you sat in it, you sunk into. It just needs better maintenance.

Our only complaint is the condition of the pans (old scratched teflon) and accessories for the kitchen. A wine opener, can opener and a small vacuum would be great!The view and location are perfect.

The unit was a good size for 2 people. The bed was very comfortable. The location was good for visiting St. Augustine. The pool was wonderful. The condition of the place could use some sprucing up. Some fresh paint and a new dinette set.

Small but efficient

Nice view, unit was quite small but the listing was accurate. The dogwalk was a long distance away and a small well worn patch of grass. Two main issues...sporadic hot water and no heat in the unit. Prompt response from the agent when notified but considering the price paid this shouldn't have been an issue.

Nice place

We had a wonderful time. We lost my dad suddenly the middle of June. My mom myself ans my son needed to get away. We've stayed at the Beachers Lodge in the past different unit and its always been a nice stay. Location is great, beach and pool access great. Yes, this place is old has the small window unit AC units but it keeps the place cool and they also provide 2 fans in the closet. There is wear and tear on things but overall it's a nice place and we would come back. We didn't think we'd be able to even find a place last min, dog friendly, with a beach view during the week of 4th of July. Wouosnt recommend over 4 people but that's the rules anyways. It's small but for me my mom my son and our dog it was fine. Shower is great and bed was very comfy. I actually slept which normally doesn't happen when we travel. The owners communicated with us very well while we had an issue and made sure to have someone there the next day to help us. The owner didn't stop there she kept checking on us even after she sent someone to help us. Definitely recommend staying here!

This is a hotel NOT a condo. But for a beach "suite" hotel Id say 6-7 /10

Great location but this is really just a hotel. Youll see tons of guest here and all the normal crowding that comes along with it. The room looks really nice in the photos and is thw room in the photos but in person not quite as nice. There was a broken sleeper matress which means her parents slept in the bed and my wife and i slept together on a normal counch which was pretty uncomfortable. Even as a pull out it was once of those very thin matresses that would have been uncomfortable in the first place. I told the host about it she didnt have anyone availible to repair the broken sofa, said she would do a partial refund but 24 hours later i havent been told how much the refund will be. The beach and pool were very nice so those are the main plus points. Also the tvs in the unit were hilariously small. Like i think the bedroom. Had an 18 inch or 24 inch flat screen tv. Not even shure how they found that. But its vacation so we shouldnt have been watching tv anyways. Saw lots of people with pets who seemed happy that was nice.

Perfect location!

My wife and I enjoyed this lovely condo for our honeymoon. Couldn't have asked for a better room or host. Thanks for having us. Can't wait to visit beautiful St. Augustine again some day. We will definitely be staying here again.

Clean, Comfortable and Cozy

Our recent stay was a great experience overall. The location and unit are as described. We found we had everything we needed and only had one question during our trip, which was responded to immediately. The unit is directly on the beach in a smaller (as compared to the area) overall complex that was perfect size for us and easy to get around. Many great suggestions from the host for restaurants and attractions that we used and enjoyed each one. Harry's, A1A Brewery for dinner as well as Commanders! We also did a fun walking tour of downtown St. Augustine with Spyglass Tours (small groupings and knowledgeable). Gas station and some stores across street easy to get to if you need anything along with many other options within quick drive (Publix for groceries) Would stay again.

Last minute getaway

Great little condo for a spontaneous trip. Drove thirteen hours to visit son and his family only to discover that all the hotel rooms in their small town (1.5 hours away from St. Augustine) were booked. Twist my arm and make me stay in a condo on the beach! Searched vrbo.com traveling down the interstate and found this little jewel. The owners were very accommodating. I understand that this is low season and maintenance was in progress and I do not hold that against the owners in any way.
