“I chose Days Inn by Wyndham Lakewood South Tacoma mainly because it was close to the location of my meeting and more affordable compared to other hotels in the area. Check-in took longer than expected, although the check-out process was very quick. The room appeared to have been somewhat renovated, but there was a musty smell upon entering. I also found a strand of hair under the pillow, which was unpleasant. Since I only needed to stay for one night, I initially tried not to make a big issue...

“The room had ants- at least a dozen or more, housekeeping left a clump of hair in the toilet as well as failed to reset my amenities after each day. I got moved to another room as a last ditch effort to make sure that I had a place to sleep without ants... It was clear there had already been a recent patch job to deal with a prior water leak. There was also mold showing through the paint on the ceiling in the bathroom and the pillow cases were not white, but yellowed. They were clean but showing age/wear.”

“Clean spacious room. The hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere. Unless you eat in the nearby military base, or have a taste for Subway or teriyaki - there is literally nothing to eat in walking distance. 3 miles away - McDonald’s and some other place. Access to the hotel off I-5 northbound is a nightmare. Construction, new overpasses, hard place to find. Good luck doing it at night - even with a GPS. All in all - a pretty bad experience. Breakfast looked like a high school...
