Perfect location with basin views . Magnificent sunrise
We were a family of 4 adults and a toddler celebrating my husbands birthday. We have a boat with which we wanted to launch for a day of family fishing. The scenic view jetty was 10 mins away. The driveway had plenty of space to park the boat and our two cars. The house was comfortable and clean, ideal for a two nigh5 stay. The deck provided space for our granddaughter to scoot around on her scooter. Wolfgang communicated clearly and in a way that helped us feel welcome. Magnificent sunrise!

Great place
Great place for a short summer stay. Awesome that pets are welcome too. Loved using the kayaks and our paddle board in the lake.

Fabulous having breakfast on the deck looking out over the water. Great location. House is basic but exactly as described. New bathroom is nice!

Great for lake fun

Magic by the water

Beautiful location, cleanliness poor
Amazing location, kayaks provided and lots of fun. BBQ good and plenty local wildlife. Overall our stay was great just a little disappointed with the cleanliness with the house. Owner advised there was a problem with the cleaner.

A few more fans and or air conditioner would have been good. Key to access property is super high - I would have had Buckleys reaching it if my husband wasn’t with me. Power point in bathroom is way too high. They are my only faults - otherwise a great property to stay. Would recommend to friends.

Beautiful view so close to the bay
We really enjoyed this took the surf ski and kayak out every day …wished there was more of them. Wolfgang was fantastic responding to any issues we had. Will definitely be back to rent again

I visited with my family and a pet. We really liked the location and the house ( it was very nice even though bit old) and enjoyed a lot, The owner is very good and had given lots of information, was quick with replies to queries as well. We would definitely go there again and highly recommend the place.

Peaceful and beautiful nature setting
My son and I wanted a weekend away to reconnect out of the city in a peaceful setting. The house was very homey and the view of the bay was stunning from the kitchen, dining, lounge room and of course the balcony. Very relaxing, which is exactly what we were looking for.

Place was great
Was a pleasant weekend away and the home has all the needs for such a trip. Info from host was great and was a comfortable stay all round. Probably the only set back (nothing to do with the home) but the nearby boat ramp is quite shallow for our vessel. But more so the jetty and pontoon was out of service and actually in ruins, likely from the most recent floods. So out entry to the basin was 10 min away instead of just 1. Cheers

Peaceful setting
Pros: Big house, comfortable bed, good heating, lovely views right on the water. Cons: the house is a little grubby… With the cleaner apparently being there the day before, they need to have a word with them. There wasn’t a decent knife. Check in could have been better, I had to email the owner to get the code. Luckily he called me and gave it to me otherwise, I might have been waiting around all day. No wifi

we had a peaceful weekend kayaking with the complimentary kayaks, they were so appreciated by the whole family, the fishing was fun, straight from our back yard, the kids were beside themselves! the house was lovely, though sharing the one bathroom was tough, and an enclosed deck would have been much better cos of the mossies... my cat and dog just loved the grounds...

Short getaway
This was a great little home for our group getaway. Wolfgang is so easy helpful and a pleasure to communicate with. We had everything we needed all in a perfect location to all the local attractions. Sitting out on the back deck, looking out over the bay is a perfect way to relax. We would stay there again

Great Little Find
This is a good down to earth place. Fantastic position on the water. High and dry above the flood line during the great floods! Whilst no internet, basic TV and DVD player that works despite no "on" light, and perhaps kitchen implements a little light on, really these are minor issues, the house is great, beds comfortable, and lovely place to stay. Kayak is great, didn't use the bikes. Toys were good for the kids. Shops very near by and friendly neighbours. Great place for the dog. Not enclosed in the garden, but our dog is well trained to stay with us. Overall, a big thumbs up

Fantastical Stay
I booked for a week because the photo on Stayz showed kids toys on a book shelf plus green grass and water out the back with green lawns. My grown children came down at differing times with their young children. We loved this place. Not modern. So good to have children in. Boogie boards and 2 bikes and a scooter that we did not use but the 2 kayaks were used every day by my family. Best homey relaxing place I have ever stayed at. Fishing out the back yard or a few yards down the road. We ate bream for meals. The area has a quiet reserve and the whole area there is quiet except for my grandkids. People have left reviews that the toilet was dirty bjt everything was dated but clean.

Great family accomodation
This property was perfect for our needs. We were 4 adults and one 3 year old travelling and the house was perfect for this. Sitting on the outdoor deck of an evening and watching the world go by with the water in the backyard was definitely a great way to finish a busy day in and around Jervis Bay.

Superb location, friendly neighbourhood, great activities, cosy comfy family home
Best time away in a casual setting, direct access to water sports and relaxation in garden or nearby on Kingfisher point, close to kayak SUP hire, gorgeous views, friendly neighbours, easy communication with the host and just an absolutely fabulous environment.

A wonderful view by the water

Lovely weekend

A top spot!!
Excellent place for a quiet getaway. Really well equipped house (it even had a teapot!!) Fabulous deck for sitting and watching the pelicans glide past, and just down the road is a great little reserve for watching the sunset. We contacted Wolfgang re a gas cylinder replacement for the BBQ, his quick response and reimbursement was much appreciated. We actually liked taking our own linen and towels, the bed was really comfortable, as was the rest of the furniture. Highly recommended. And definitely check out the sourdough bakery up the road!

Good location, but a little dirty and an extra charge that didnt seem right
We booked two nights, but due to bad weather only stayed the one. The location on the lake was great, and I am sure would be fantastic in summer, but in May when the weather turns bad not so much. The cleanliness was not great with dried up food found on the utensils, long hair on a dish cleaning brush and in the bathroom, and a few poo splatters in the toilet. It wasnt terrible and didnt take too long to clean, but it wasnt great. The thing that disappointed me though was an extra $20 charge for a broken garage door key after the stay. If I thought we had broken it, wouldn't have minded paying, but we only used the key to the side of the house and I am sure I would have remembered breaking a key. It may have only been $20 but just left a sour taste getting charged for a broken key we didnt use, and so we wont be back.

Pleasant stay at St George Basin house
Wolfgang the owner communicated promptly to my messages. The house was in a quiet location with waterfront access near the end of a cul de sac. The house was a little dated and some minor maintainance needed attention but it was reasonable value for the area. No Wifi and having to supply our own bed linen and towels was a drawback but overall our stay was very pleasant.

Direct water access,good in winter and summer,pet friendly for little dog
What a location!! A kind of place that allows you to spend time in water in winter as well as summer. The lake has Shallow water for a hundred meter out (1 m deep), making it save for the kids (parental supervision of course).. and the lake water is clean with no polution... just occassional seaweed. Kayak and surf ski is provided, however We also brought our own so the whole family could go paddling together. Great bonding time. Eventhough the temperature dropped during this spring time, we still enjoy the water as we can just jump into the hot shower straight away. Great space for the whole 2 families in one living dining room. Our dog sleeps in living room on our own inflatable mattress. No dogs allowed in the bedroom, which is understandable. Big deck outdoor area for BBQ if you wish.. big green lawn for playing ball game.. walk 15min to IGA and 15m back.. Checked in is a bit tricky. Bring a torch or make sure your mobile phone has enough battery. There is a fuse box on the right hand side from the drive way.. then there is a little box with numbers on them. Ask the host for the number before you arrive, which we did.. Wolfgang is nothing but helpful.. making us soooo welcomed. The near by restaurant open until midnight! wished we knew, so we can just go there as soon as we arrived, instead of eating dinner on the way in a rush. Do try the fresh bread from the Bakery next to IGA! So worth it! so spoilt by this place... luv it!
