Villa isolata e romantica con 1 camera da letto situata accanto al Parco Nazionale, un luogo perfetto per una coppia in cerca di privacy e tutti i comfort di casa. Piscina privata, doccia esterna e cortile con giardini, grande cucina con bancone per 4 persone. Tavolo da pranzo all'aperto, 10 posti a sedere. Aria centrale - anche se gli alisei sono forti in questa posizione. Mobili e armadi su misura. Casa in muratura con pietra locale. I soffitti della cattedrale con travi a Cipro e porte extra alte consentono giorni e notti freddi ai Caraibi. La casa si trova sulla collina e si affaccia su Fish Bay dal centro della valle, permettendo agli ospiti di apprezzare l'acqua e la baia da una prospettiva unica. Gli amanti del mare apprezzeranno le tonalità dell'acqua.

Home is impeccably clean, well planned out, away from the noisy city but close enough to get to town easily. We had one issue with refrigerator and stove not working when power returned, but it was addressed quickly. Could not have had a better vacation. thanks for all the extra perks during the stay!

Beautiful property with amazing views over the bay. Only issue we had was with the large amount of bugs/insects, especially in the open air bathroom where there were swarms of mosquitos.

This was our second stay at Ted's home. All the accommodations, including all the little things that makes this home feel so special was perfect. It's truly a special place for us. Even more so of late. We hope to return some day soon. Special thanks to Hannah and her team, as we were running late upon arrival. A special request for future visitors to donate to the St John Animal Care Center...a worthy organization and cause.

Everything about our stay was stellar. The driving at night was definitely a challenge, but well worth it. The owner truly created his own personal paradise with great intention to share his vision with his guests. There were so many special amenities and unique touches such as a greeter, welcome snacks, a fully stocked bar as well as kitchen spices, a stocked refrigerator with cold drinks and more. A true Chef’s Kitchen for “Foodies” like us! From the kitchen to the bathroom to the pool area and beautiful tropical gardens around the house you felt like you were embraced by loving arms the minute you entered the villa. With that said, you also have the added bonus of amazing views from all sides of Villa. The craftsmanship and outdoor wrap around deck were incredible. We definitely recommend Carmel by the Sea! Just a short drive from Cruz Bay. It was wonderful to be away from the crowds in a true tropical paradise!

Hostess was welcoming. The setting is beautiful, however the villa is very tired. The fan and light over the kitchen counter did not work, lighting was not bright, kitchen area is very dark, the living room couches were very uncomfortable and marred, the living area was also very dark. We asked for bug repellant to replenish the spray in the bathroom on Monday/Tuesday. Did not receive the repellant until Friday. Many of the remotes were not functional and were not labeled. The many candles, both electronic and traditional were not functional when we needed them. The power went out on Friday, and remained off over 36 hours. We heard generators running all around us in other houses, however our villa had no generator. Without power, we couldn't flush the toilet, take showers or wash the dishes. We were surprised that through out the week, no one serviced the pool or came to clean up. We would suggest that the villa is desperate for a "deep clean"...bugs in the bathroom globes and dust on the pans hanging from the kitchen rack and the kitchen globes need some attention. Spices in the kitchen should be discarded due to moisture making them solid and impossible to use. We had to wash and clean dishes, pots and pans before we were able to use them.

everything was clean and such a nice vibe. Only issues were we had a reaction to the pool, idk if it was the chlorine or the pool noodles. But bad rashes all over our arms. Then the no hot water and bathroom having a large amount of mosquitoes was a bummer. Everything else was great, location, view, the house, the plants. we loved it and would return again.

My husband and I booked Caramel by the Sea for our honeymoon. We wanted something private with a pool and this home did not disappoint. The views from the pool and back wraparound deck were phenomenal. The interior with the wood and high ceilings was beautiful. It was really helpful to have a greeter meet us at our jeep rental and show us the way to the house. Chef Ted lives below but we only saw him once and he was very personable. The house has everything you could need. Gorgeous kitchen. Outdoor bath. Private pool. Ambiance. Stocked bar. Views. Beach supplies and more. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic getaway.

A beautiful home nestled in the hills above fish bay. I felt like I was staying in a botanist’s dream, there was so much greenery on the property! Ted really takes care of this place, and the kitchen was very well appointed. We ended up eating out only one night because I was enjoying the kitchen and grill so much. The house had everything we needed to explore St. John, even a cooler and beach chairs. The outdoor bathroom was elegant and so charming. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. I can’t wait to come back!

Great

This is an unusual property but near perfect.The maintenance of the plants is an endless project and the results show off the hard work.Due to carnival we had trouble checking in but after finding out that reason for all the communication problems was celebrating carnival all was forgiven everyone loves a party.The big problem for me was the near nonexistent WiFi service you have to be a maximum of 15 feet away from router to get service. No service by the pool or the bed room. On the bright side it forced me to relax instead of work. We solved the mosquito problem by making sure the bathroom door to the bedroom remained closed the entire stay. The reviews on the open air bath were not clear in my opinion. The outdoor shower and toilet have a roof on it but one wall is completely open to a 8’x12’ area filled with potted plants.It looks great but it needs a little retaining wall to prevent the rain from coming on the bathroom floor.It is a real wake up call stepping in a small puddle of water in the middle of the night. I like to know everything about the rentals before I go so I can decide if something is a deal breaker for me.I would rent this house again and will have great memories and some stories to share with others.

Romantic and Special

Our stay was wonderful. Location is secluded but still accessible to Cruz Bay. The views here are breathtaking. The pool is a wonderful addition, especially if you get a chance to watch the Stars. It very much feels like a home while you're staying there. You certainly need a rental car as well as be adventurous in your driving skill.

Wonderful Stay

We loved our stay here. This place is wonderfully outfitted and feels secluded, but not so much that a 15 minute drive can't get you to Cruz Bay! Tons of vegetation both outside and inside to just make this place feel so comfy and relaxing! The pool was well maintained and the grill was ready, which we took advantage of both.The host is very pleasant and available if needed, although you won't need anything to enjoy your stay!

Charming Stay on St. John.

Charming villa in a great location on Fish Bay. Our 2nd stay on St. John and Carmel By the Sea was a great spot for us to get where we wanted to and come home to relax in our own private retreat. Lots of beautiful plants around the villa which added to the secluded feel. The pool/deck area was exactly as pictured. There is a large, well stocked kitchen/bar area with plenty of room to prepare meals & drinks. The bathroom is uniquely open to a private bedroom porch area outside. We liked it and found keeping towels on the rack inside the door to the bedroom minimized mosquito issues mentioned by some. This place has everything you need to enjoy your trip. Our only suggestion would be to refresh the couches in the seating area. We had a great time!
