Family Luxury 3BR - Steps to Beach, Pool, Restaurants! Close to Red Hook.

Breathtaking views, spectacular sun and all the amenities of home at our family friendly luxury beachfront property. Welcome to Island Overlook at Cowpet Bay! When you arrive, you'll open the door to relaxation with sweeping views of the beach, Buck Island and a peekaboo view of St. Croix. Head to the water for snorkeling, fine dining or fish tacos and beer on the water. This large 3 bedroom, 3 bath unit is located in a private resort between the Ritz Carlton and the Elysian, and is a short ride to Red Hook and American Yacht Harbor, where you can dine or meet your captain for a day sail/charter!

Walk down to the beach where you can enjoy the complimentary lounge chairs and palapa, rent snorkel gear and watercraft, enjoy casual food and drinks at Sangria's, partake in fine dining at the Caribbean Fish Market, and enjoy the members only swimming pool. We have water toys for the kids and young at heart. Take a day trip to St. John, a quick ride to Secret Harbor or Sapphire Beach; the world is your oyster on St. Thomas.

Cowpet Bay East has 2 levels... first floor and second floor, this condo is on the 2nd floor. The main floor has two queen bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room (full size washer/dryer), family room and patio. The spacious primary king suite is upstairs with its own bathroom, walk in closet and private patio.

Cowpet Bay East overall layout is a row of condos down by the water and a row up on the hill, this condo is on the hill, roughly 250 steps to the beach.

Enjoy either of the convenient restaurants on property, including Sangria's Beachside Bistro, which is NOW OPEN daily 7 am - 6 pm (except Sundays) and 6 pm - 8 pm for pizzas only. The newly renovated beach/pool bar has finally reopened to serve you refreshing cold beverages throughout the day 11 am - 5 pm! Then there's the highly recommended, finer dining restaurant the resort has to offer, Caribbean Fish Market (aka "CFM" per the locals!), known for its mouth watering seafood dishes, open for dinner nightly, as well as for Sunday brunch with bottomless Mimosas or Bloody Mary's!

If you choose to leave the resort, you are only minutes away from the conveniences of Red Hook... shopping, bars, restaurants, Ferry to St. John, postal service, and medical center.

Please NOTE the nightly rate is based on 6 guests, additional guests are $35/night per person, maximum of 8 guests (no more than 6 adults). Discounts offered and always changing, except on Holiday weeks!! No third party rentals permitted at anytime.

Hosts were awesome - extremely welcoming and responsive. Property was immaculate with everything a family would need. Location was the best - quiet, beautiful area, amazing beaches just short walks away, and close to Red Hook and SJ Ferries. Parking is free, close, safe, and convenient. Would stay there again and highly recommend!

Great stay convenient location

Condo was very nice and very clean. We had everything we needed. Communication and check in were great. Only downside was that the pool was not nearly as nice or large as pictured but we spent most of our time at the beach! Close to red hook which was great for finding dinner spots. Great stay and would highly recommend !

Great family condo

This condo deserves a 5 star rating for several reasons: It was clean, communication from the property owner was extremely detailed and responsive, the check-in and out process was very smooth and the condo included everything. I’ve stayed at several VRBOs and this place had over the top amenities: bug spray, sun screen, beach towels, pool and beach toys and the list goes on. While I’d give this condo an enthusiastic 5 stars, I wouldn’t give the island of St Thomas the same. Here’s why: it’s extremelyyyy expensive. And we’re from NY where we’re used to high prices but the cost of food was more than NY. Also, we didn’t rent a car which was a huge mistake. The cost of cabs were insane (again more than NYC taxis) so we didn’t leave our area much bc we felt robbed eveytime we took a taxi. However, there are 2 restaurants that are walking distance and you can also walk to the Ritz Carlton for dinner. But I’d still recommend you rent a car, but know they drive on the left side of the road. Lastly, the swim with dolphins activity at Coral World was amazing and I’d highly recommend. Just know you’re spending over a thousand dollars for a family of five to do this, including a hundred for a taxi to take you 5 miles. Again, this place and Kelly were over the top accommodating and I’d give her and the condo rave reviews. But we ended up spending the same amount we would at an all inclusive resort b/c the food and taxis were astronomical. Rent a car!
