Carol so sorry you didn't understand the room description. The Cozy Double is the most requested room at the hotel. Mostly because it is the cheapest room we offer and also because of the outdoor shower! Island living at it's best!! It is bigger than a boat cabin and definitely has the coldest AC. We have another 14 King size rooms for rent but budget minded people LOVE this room!

You are right, we are a great neighborhood for the many dinner options within a stones throw to the hotel. And while we don't live in a manicured suburb, we find Frenchtown pleasing in its charm and it's people. As far as stairs go, we haven't been able to find a cheap outdoor escalator for the side of our little hill, so for now, stairs it is!

We are so sorry you were not aware of the steps here at Olga's Fancy. The American Disabilities Act calls for accessibility for business built after 1993. This hotel has been open since the late 50's and St. Thomas is a very mountainous island so stairs are a way of life here (and crazy steep driveways! St. Croix, where you are currently residing is way flatter than St. Thomas). We happily refunded your money when you let us know that you didn't want to have to manage any stairs. We also gave you directions for the short walk over to The Windward Passage Hotel. They have an elevator for their 6 story facility and we hope you were comfortable and passed a pleasant night.And for everyone else reading this response, here is that information found on our site and in our correspondence: ALL OF OUR GUEST ROOMS ARE LOCATED ON A HILLSIDE THAT ARE ACCESSIBLE ONLY BY STAIRS. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR AND NO BELLHOP. Please pack accordingly. We do offer overnight storage for large bags belonging to guests registered at the hotel. And this is what we mail out 3 days prior to arrival: Thank you for your reservation at Olga's Fancy. This is a reminder that our Inn is located on a hillside. While this provides us with wonderful views, some of the rooms require sets of stairs. There are many places to rest in between staircases (landings, terraces and pool decks to admire the views). While we try to help when we can, WE DO NOT OFFER BELLBOY SERVICE TO CARRY LARGE BAGS to the rooms. To those who are staying with us for a single night, we suggest packing an overnight bag for your stay here and we will store your larger luggage in a down stairs secure room. See you soon!
