Beautiful Farmhouse
Great location to Luray and plenty of room for family to enjoy relaxing. Property is beautiful and close to hiking, horseback riding( check out Jordan Hollow Stables in Stanley for amazing trail ride). Kitchen has everything you need for cooking while you are there.

Shenandoah Gem
We really enjoyed our stay at The Miller House and in the Shenandoah Valley. This historic home was clean, warm, and welcoming. The remodeled kitchen and floors thru the house are beautiful and give the home a modern feel. The property is peaceful, interesting and spacious for walks in the morning/evening as the sun goes over the mountains on each side - beautiful! Close drive to the National Park for incredible hiking. The Miller House is a great place to plan your National Park trip around.

Our second stay here
We had such a great experience two years ago at the Miller House, so we came back again. The property is perfect and has been maintained very well. The home is clean and cozy, perfect for our family getaway. The house is also conveniently located close to Luray, the National Park, Massanutten and Harrisonburg. We will be back!

Our family Thanksgiving in Virginia
Spending Thanksgiving with our college children was a special opportunity my husband and I had this year, so we began looking nine months ahead. We chose a VrBO, first time, to have a more relaxed setting. The three BR, two BA Miller farm listing looked great! We had no problems booking online. We did run into a glitch during the check-in process which necessitated a call. Dawn was very helpful and understanding. For our very cold VA days, we found the Miller home comfortable and welcoming. The kitchen was equipped for preparing our Thanksgiving meal, and others, and the formal dining room was festive with decor and place settings. We did experience a leak our third night from the upstairs shower which kept us from using it the rest of our stay; however, the downstairs shower was accommodating for our needs. Dawn let us know it would be repaired soon. We learned more about ROKU from our kids and enjoyed evenings by the warm fireplace watching movies and playing card games. A couple evenings we tried to enjoy the gas firepit in the smokehouse, but we were unable to understand how to turn it on. Once we realized the propane tank was empty, we switched it with the refill, but we still could not turn on the tank. Viewing a YouTube video sooner would have helped us use the smokehouse the second evening. Luray Caverns was amazing! Walmart close by was helpful. We all agree another stay may be an option to add to all of our 2023 Thanksgiving memories.

I really appreciate Marilyn taking the time to share her experience at the Miller House. It’s a good trr eminfer for us all that sometimes staying in others homes can occasionally provide us with challenges like how to operate internet only tv’s, fireplaces etc.. Thank goodness for utube and children that know more about technology than we do😊😂. I am glad they found the extra gas tank we keep nearby. And the leak is scheduled for a repair. Repairing things in a 100 yr plus house is never easy but I will get that second shower ready to be used again. I am thankful that despite the leak and the inconvenience of one shower they were able to enjoy the beauty and uniqueness of the property and the time they had together with their children making new memories.

It's Miller Time!
The Miller House was a wonderful and unique find for a weekend getaway in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley -- a great place to be for hikers, foliage seekers, or anyone just looking to chill for a nice weekend. Dawn was accommodating and delightful to work with and had a bottle of wine waiting for us to boot! The house has two different outside firepits, a separate facility bar in an old oversized shed, and is tastefully decorated with classic and modern blending together seamlessly throughout. The location is 10 minutes from Luray Caverns, 15 minutes from Skyline Drive and 30 minutes from Shenandoah National Park. Complaints? ZERO. We hope to be back!

Little Farm House in the Valley
Let’s just get to the point: The Miller House and Barn has been our favorite VRBO property. What were our highlights? The history and obvious care with which the property was updated and preserved. The thoughtfulness of amenities. The location; deep in the rolling farmland of the Shenandoah Valley. The cleanliness. All perfect. My wife adored evenings on the screened porch watching our girls catch fireflies. I preferred mornings on the deck watching the sun rise over the Blue Ridge Mountains while the clouds and fog lazily rolled off of them. The kids loved the neighbor’s cows (of course). Thank you Dawn for opening your beautiful house to us. 10/10 would heartily recommend.

National Park tour
We stayed during a road trip to Shenandoah National Park. We absolutely LOVED staying in this beautiful home. It’s been lovingly restored and maintains so much charm. The kids playhouse was a huge hit for our family. We loved time outside, firefly catching, and just enjoying the gorgeous views. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Lovely home away from home
We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed hanging out at the home in the evenings after a full day of activities in the area. It felt like we were staying at a home, not just a house. The hosts have thought of so many little details to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable, and we also found the location was a great home base to enjoy hiking, rafting on the river, and visiting Luray Caverns and the town of Luray. The kids loved having "real beds" in their room and also enjoyed the selection board games we hadn't played before. I would strongly recommend this home to anyone looking to visit the area.

"The best property ever!"
My wife and grown daughter stayed in The Miller House and found it absolutely perfect. They were in the area for a wedding and this home turned out to be the perfect place to stay. Convenient to the "action" but with the feel of being in a remote location. Beautiful views, kitchen equipped to the nines, and a warm family setting. My daughter proclaimed it, "the best property I've ever visited." Thank You for your hospitality. Highly recommended!

What an amazing find. Beautifully renovated, very comfortable and full of character and amenities. The location was excellent for Luray and Skyline Drive, and such nice rural downtown areas. Our host Dawn was wonderful, attentive and great with communications and recommendations. So glad we choose the Miller House.

Spring in Shenandoah Valley
Beautifully renovated farmhouse in scenic valley with gorgeous mountain views out every window. Home was immaculate and very comfortable with updated kitchen that had everything we needed to cook family meals. Very relaxing and quiet and not far from Shenandoah National Park. Breathtakingly Gorgeous Home!!!!
I have been renting from VRBO for years!!!! And have always been quite impressed with the homes.....BUT .......THIS TIME The owner of the home Dawn..Blew us away..This home is absolutely the most beautiful home we have stayed at.....the pictures of where it began to what is has become are just amazing....we walked the house and outside in complete awe....you want country living...like farm country living....this is the place......everything is there for you...bring your food...and you are set!!! Peaceful and serene!
It was me and my husband’s 10 year wedding anniversary and we decided to get away from everything. This place is incredible, relaxing and beautiful! It was well equipped with everything you need for your stay, just bring your own food to cook. We were very well prepared and once we arrived didn’t leave the premises. We explored the property from the barn house to the old smoke house, watched the sun rise and heard the rooster crow from anther property (great experience). It was a cold, cloudy and raining for the 2 evenings we stayed so we couldn’t enjoy the stars or being out in the evening. We will definitely take advantage next time. We truly enjoyed all the notes letting us know where everything was and/or how to use something. A complimentary bottle of wine was waiting for us and some love music playing in the background. We look forward to staying again and possibly bringing our children (or maybe just us two…lol). Definitely worth 5 stars!

Loved the outdoor space and fireplace. Lots of places to eat as a group. Kitchen very well stocked kitchen. Beds incredibly comfortable with lots of pillows. This is the best house we have ever rented and so we plan to come back as kcin as we can.

Another fantastic Thanksgiving at the Miller House
This is our second stay for the Thanksgiving holiday. The farmhouse charm just makes the holiday feel extra special. As before, everything was clean and working well. The extra touches like the beautiful table setting was much appreciated. My family enjoyed hanging out in all parts of the house - kitchen, the comfortable living room couch, outside around the fire. We were able to cook a full Thanksgiving dinner with what was available in the kitchen. And because we had a lovely sunny and windy day, we flew some kites outside. As before, Dawn checked to make sure we had what we needed. Thank you again!

Absolute Treasure!
Staying at The Miller House was a last minute decision for a weekend getaway and wow, am I thankful we didn’t talk ourselves out of booking this gem of a home. From the moment we walked in, we knew our time here was going to be peaceful and relaxing. Time stood still long enough for us to totally take in all of God’s beauty from the love that was poured into this home to the gorgeous views all around the property. The owners get a 5 star rating for their hospitality and ability to make strangers feel welcomed and at home. It was well equipped with everything we needed, was very clean and tastefully decorated. Dawn was attentive and answered any questions we had. Our favorite place was at the house, watching the sunrise and sunset and sitting by the fire taking in all of the scenic views. We did tour Shenandoah National Park and it was amazing. If by chance you come across this home in your search for a getaway and you see an open spot on the calendar, please book it...you will LOVE it!

Our third visit to the Miller House
This was our third visit to this house, and we loved coming back here. The location simply can’t be beat. We did enjoy some local hiking and sight seeing, but being at the house was our favorite. Great views, lots of space, and a well-stocked kitchen makes it the perfect place to be.

A MUST stay!
This has got to be one of my favorite VRBO rentals. This property was above and beyond our expectations. The old farmhouse was so lovingly restored to the most comfortable and country chic place you could imagine. Every corner is meticulously decorated and no amenity was forgotten. From the kitchen, to the bathrooms, to the bathrooms, every detail was perfectly planned. And all of the outdoor spaces… give yourselves time to roam!!! We spent our days out and about exploring the Shenandoah National Park but enjoyed coming home each evening to talk around the fire pit or swap stories and watch the distant storms from the front porch. Do not miss this property! The host, Dawn, was gracious and responsive. I enjoyed the house book she provides with the history of the property and pictures of the transformation. If I had a dime every time my hubby said “I’m so glad we rented this place and not some generic cabin in the woods!” Not knocking any cabins- we’ve rented some good ones- but this was such a unique and enjoyable property!

Stunning and so cozy!
A fabulous place to spend time with loved ones. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space for relaxing. We were six friends in town for a wedding at Rivers Edge Resort. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, and showers hot. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay for longer. Dawn made us feel welcome and communicated clearly. Highly recommend this gem!

Down on the farm
We spent five days at the Miller House in early May. We spent time in the national park and checking out the small towns in the area but we’ll spare you the details, you can figure out activities for yourself. When we rent places like this we intentionally get into the head of living there and this place made that easy. You know you’ve rented the right place when, after a day out, one of you says “let’s go home”. You can trust the description of the house and if anything the photos may fall a little short of doing it justice. Our only recommendation is that whatever you choose to do in the area, do yourself a favor and leave time to enjoy the property. Watch the mountains change color from the screen porch. Catch the views in all directions from the various places to sit outside. Dawn was responsive and helpful during our stay and did an amazing job saving this great old house.

Susan what a lovely review!! I feel that this property has so much to offer that can't be described without experiencing it. Just as you said.!! My hope was that my guests would feel like it's home and an experience that provides many great memories spent there. The Miller House is great. The area is gorgeous - views on all sides! - and the house is well restored but with plenty of farmhouse character. Dawn was a helpful and friendly host who went out of her way for us! We enjoyed hiking and horseback riding during the day.

The perfect getaway
We absolutely loved our stay at the Miller House. Perfect getaway from city life, super comfortable, beautiful views, and such charm. The attention to details were so appreciated. We have an 11-month old, so having a well-stocked kitchen at home to make meals was essential…and having the animals nearby to say hello to was a big hit. :) We would absolutely stay here again and will definitely be recommending to our friends. Wonderful Getaway
We had a lovely visit at the Miller House. Beautiful home with comfortable couch and beds. Everything was impeccably clean and all the supplies and amenities ensured we could eat in and didn’t have to do any last minute runs to the store. So many things to do for a family with small kids (horseback riding next door, luray caverns, local playgrounds, exploring the property, local winery with animals, luray zoo, etc). We could be busy if we wanted, but also relaxed and enjoyed the amazing view and quietness. Highly recommend.

Great getaway for our long weekend
We had a great stay at the Miller House. The house is renovated with a lot of care and attention to detail -- we especially loved the restored flooring and staircase. It felt like every little detail had been thought through, and the house was equipped with everything we could need. The mountain views are also incredible! The host was also checked in to make sure we were okay in advance of a snowstorm that happened during our stay, which we really appreciated. It's a special place & I would highly recommend it - hope we can make it back in the future.

Perfect holiday getaway with family
Our experience at the Miller House FAR exceeded everyone's expectations! We're first greeted with stunning views. You can see mountains anywhere you look and from every window in the house. It was a delight to see the Christmas decorations and lights and I was so surprised to see the gorgeous Thanksgiving table setting! The house itself is beautifully restored and decorated, like pictures from a magazine, and very clean. There were touches of extra care everywhere like the stack of kids books in the bedroom and kid foot stool in the bathroom. We also really loved the fully equipped kitchen - we cooked a full Thanksgiving meal there (turkey and all!) and baked cookies. As others have mentioned you could stay at the house and property itself and have a great time. But we did take short trips to nearby Shenandoah for a hike, got last in the Luray garden maze, and biked the Greenway in downtown Luray. Dawn is a cheerful, friendly host who was prompt with answering my questions and was so easy to communicate with. Thank you for sharing your family's beautiful house with us and going so above and beyond in making our stay special. We had an unforgettable family holiday and would love to come back again!
