Hotel a State Road

“When we arrived we found out the pool was closed pending a Health department inspection. After talking with the manager it was because it wasn't clean enough and the health department gentleman couldn't see the drain. They had the cleaner in for a long time but the pool was still closed when we left. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. There was a waffle maker with thin runny batter that was awful. The orange juice was old. It is right next to a Flyin' J truckstop/scale that shared the road....

“I would stay here again. It was great for the price. I probably wouldn’t swim in the pool. Breakfast was OK. Room was clean and decent. I felt safe here.”

“Poor room and smelly room. Did not feel like using anything including restrooms as well. There were insects inside the bath tub... very poorly maintained....but did not have choice...so just slept for night and left ASAP in the morning”

“Stay away!! I am calling days Inn worldwide to report this property. The lamp and alarm clock and microwave were all broke. Security violation in leaving the outside door propped open. None of the ice or vending machines did not work. Could never find an employee. Stacks of bed frames in the boxes stacked floor to ceiling. Dust everywhere. Dog excrement smell in the hallways.too much to list. Several rooms were empty , meaning no furniture or at beds or anything.”

“The Surry in is a nice place to stay overnight on our trips from PA to Florida. Everything is older but clean and everything worked.”

“We got in very late and we got checked in. The place was very old & dirty. There were dead bugs laying around. The bedspread had cigarette holes in them. We looked for bed bugs but thankfully didn't find any. It smelled like marajuana had been smoked in there or under us and the dead bolt on the door was cut out so it didn't lock. We were desperate so we stayed but if we had of had another place close we would have definitely left. I'm sure it wouldn't meet sanitation codes if checked. We...

“The property is beautiful for a short syay. In comparison to local options with competitive hotels are better regarding amenities. No pool, no hot tub, no workout room yet prices are higher at this property. The rooms are rather small. Everything was nice and clean though.”

“Three Trails is ideally located in downtown Elkin. It, however, is located next to an active railroad line and trains do sound their horns early in the mornings and sometimes at night. Three Trails is also on the corner of the main street junction of the city. Therefore, there is street noise. Three Trails would be much improved, and more comfortable for guests, if sound proofing glass is installed in the windows.
