“Great location and large room, downside was no staff on site; we needed to call to get someone from the next door diner to open the door. No welcome or further context. Also no staff when we checked out. Rooms are nice and spacious, the outdoors patio and garden are a great opportunity to relax in, but is current quite empty; if they would make this a bit more cosy and welcoming it would be a lot better.”

“We stayed in the Kentucky Room of the Welty house for 3 nights in June 2026. We arrived about 845pm. There was no parking, but when I contacted the help line, they were able to direct me to legal (and free) parking nearby to unload. Parking was not an issue the rest of our stay. The grab and go breakfast was ok. The coffee available is all K cups, so again ok. They did have a wide selection of flavors including teas for the Keurig machine. “Printed instructions need to be provided for operation of the TV. Selecting programs needs to be more intuitive. Also, I do not like the refillable dispensers for shampoo and etc. Because sealed products are not provided, I furnish what I need. Everything else was fully satisfactory. Thanks.”

“This property is a gem for history enthusiasts. It contains a museum of artifacts discovered during renovations and is decorated to match the period it was built in. It is modern and clean however, with modern comforts like new outlets on each side of the bed and at both vanities in the bathroom. The staff were incredible. The owners helped us bring in our luggage and showed us around the house. They told us about the history as well as how to maximize our stay in Gettysburg. They found an...
