“Stay for three nights. Definitely a hike to get to the place but took the bus and taxi up a few times. Everyone knew where it was. Town had a small supermarket which was great. Lots of small restaurants nearby. ”

It was advertised as having AC, but only had one weak portable unit that couldn’t cool the home below 27C (80F), making it unsafe for our newborn who was overheating and crying nonstop. “This is a nice place to stay with a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains. The whole area is wonderful to see with many beautiful villas and quaint towns. It is also at a convenient train stop in Varenna that is also near a ferry stop. You need to be aware that you have to walk into town or drive your own car or schedule a a taxi. I would definitely stay here again. Mary was very accommodating also.”

“We loved our stay in Varenna! The host gave excellent directions on how to access the apartment. We brought a car and were able to park in the nearby public parking lot. Walking to the place involved a short steep downhill on cobblestones and several flights of stairs to the apartment, so that is good to know if you have physical limitations. But, we loved it and would go back!”

“The property has amazing views. There were 4 of us (adults), we found the bedrooms ok, but the bathroom had a problem, I think due to thin pipes in the building, the shower was leaking - so the floor around the shower cabin would have water. The lights did not work, and the hair dryer was broken, luckily one of us had one with her. The area is lovely, the flat is in the same building as the restaurant Al Prato, highly-rated one. We had a lovely time overall. ”

“This lovely apartment was perfect for our stay in Varenna. It was right up the lane from the boat docks, had a gorgeous view of the lake, and was just a five minute walk along the beautiful lakeside promenade into the main part of town. Being set a little bit apart, I think made it, especially quiet and peaceful. Our hosts were so lovely and made every effort to make sure our arrival, stay, and even departure, we’re easy and smooth.”

“Instructions for check in were detailed and we had no problems. We were able to find a parking spot in the garage but be warned there are only a few and it's first come first serve. "Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno meraviglioso in questo hotel, in occasione del compleanno di mia moglie, e non avremmo potuto chiedere di meglio. L’ospitalità è stata davvero da hotel a 5 stelle: tutto il personale è stato impeccabile, gentile, attento e sempre con il sorriso. Un grazie speciale a Madi, una persona straordinaria che ha reso la nostra esperienza ancora più speciale. La camera era spettacolare, arredata con gusto, molto spaziosa e dotata di ogni comfort. Pulizia perfetta e una vista che lascia senza fiato. La cena è stata strepitosa, con piatti curati in ogni dettaglio e un’atmosfera intima ed elegante. Per il compleanno di mia moglie ci hanno persino organizzato un tavolo decorato con rose fresche e un mazzo di fiori: una sorpresa che ci ha emozionati profondamente. Molto comoda anche la navetta per Bellagio, che ci ha permesso di visitare il paese senza lo stress della macchina e del parcheggio. Un servizio utilissimo, puntuale ed efficiente. Che dire? Un soggiorno perfetto!!!"
