“The apartment was clean, spacious and had all the amenities we needed for a short stay in Varenna. It is located very close to the local bars and restaurants and a 15 minute walk from the train station. The self check-in process was simple, although the instructions we were sent had the wrong box described for our apartment, but it was self explanatory once we got there as the boxes are all lettered. “The apartment was amazing! AC worked well and the host Marco was wonderful. Plenty of room for 3 of us and the patio was great to lounge on and look at the beautiful lake and mountains. It is on a busy road so you can’t walk to town. Taxis are really expensive ( I don’t recommend using Donicar, he charged us 30 to go to town 2 km away), rent a car if you can there is a parking garage in Varenna.The little beach was the highlight of our stay. We went swimming every day and the water was so clean...

“Positives it was Close to restaurants, lakes, ferry. Negitives ,Didn't like the noise from the ferry, bars and road. Apartment itself was not very clean only one light worked in the living room, there was an electrical cable repaired with tape under the TV unit, the shower curtains had mold on, the shower head fell off every time you used it, the toilet was dirty, there was only one small light in the bathroom which was inadequate, there was a taped up wire hanging out the wall above the mirror...
