Mountain Vacation Lodging is proud to offer you the experience of a lifetime - Welcome to the Bella Vista Lodge! Boasting the most breathtaking views of any vacation home in Steamboat Springs, this special property is designed to provide an authentic mountain vacation experience, where families and friends can make memories in an unparalleled setting.

The Property:
First, we really need you to know - photos just can't show you how amazing the views are, and they can't match the feeling you get when you spend time here. It really is breathtaking, and this home is so welcoming, so warm, you're going to remember this trip forever. Bella Vista Lodge is one of 3 homes located on the Estate's grounds. While the other two homes are privately used, Bella Vista Lodge is the only one available for short term rental. That means you'll have exclusive access to this special home and its one of a kind amenities! The Lodge has over 5000 square feet of space to enjoy, and that's just the indoor space. This includes a Great Room, a Game Room, a Living Room, and a Den. Your group will have 5 private bedrooms. Each bedroom has either a King, a split King, a Queen, or 2 Queen beds. The two rooms with split King beds can be set up as a King or as 2 Twin beds. There's also a sleeper sofa in the den. So, the bedding situation works great for any group, whether you have a close knit group of guys or gals who need their own beds, a group of couples who want to cuddle on a cold night, or a mix of couples, singles, and kids. Each bedroom has its own dedicated bathroom, and the fifth bathroom is accessible directly from Bedroom 5 as well as from the Den. There is also a half bathroom off the Game Room, and of course there's a mud room and laundry room too. The kitchen was recently renovated, and is equipped for large groups. For example, there are 2 crockpots, 2 waffle irons, and not only are there two coffee makers, but there are also 2 coffee carafes, something you just might need for your corporate retreat in the mountains. These are only a few examples of how the kitchen and the home itself are great for groups both large and small. The dining area seats 10 and has a bank of windows to let you enjoy the incredible panoramic views. In the summer, you'll want to take advantage of outdoor dining, and there's more than enough dining tables for groups of 14 to dine together out on the deck. Adjacent to and adjoining with the kitchen and dining areas, you'll find a living room that includes 2 leather sofas and a wood burning fireplace. Together, they create a nice large space where your group can gather. The Great Room is truly a great room, a place your group will love spending time together. It features large picture windows framing incredible views, vaulted tongue & groove ceilings with exposed beams, and a wood burning fireplace fashioned from real river rocks. This all combines to create a very nice vibe, but this room also includes a full bar, a high top table for 8, a comfy sectional sofa, and a large high definition smart TV. In the Game Room you can shoot some pool, play shuffleboard, or see who can get the highest score on Mrs. Pac Man, while also interacting with everyone in the Great Room. Lets not forget to mention the hot tub. Some vacation rentals have a shared hot tub. Fewer have a private hot tub. This one has a Grotto. This room has a bank of windows that allow you to enjoy the panoramic views, so even though the custom built hot tub incorporates boulders and stones, it definitely doesn't feel like a cave. That said, this room definitely is the kind of place where you can relax and feel comfortable, cozy, and protected from sometimes harsh weather outside. Enjoy the best of both worlds!

** Please note:
– No Gatherings or Events: In the past, all three homes on the Estate were rented together for weddings and large events. That's no longer the case. Events are no longer permitted, and the other two homes are now rented long term. Bella Vista Lodge is the only home available for short term stays. If your group is planning any kind of celebration or gathering, please reach out to us with details, we're happy to clarify what's allowed and help ensure your stay goes smoothly.
– Private Pool, Summer Only (Approximately Memorial Day through September 1, 2025, weather permitting.) During the summer months, guests of Bella Vista Lodge have exclusive access to the Estate's private pool. It's reserved just for your group.

Lower Level (One flight of spiral stairs down from Main Level):
– Bedroom 3, with a private ensuite bathroom
– Bedroom 5, with direct access to bathroom 5
– Den with sleeper sofa, patio access, & hallway access to bathroom 5

The Location:
Bella Vista is located halfway up Rabbit Ears Pass, just shy of the National Forest boundary. Keep your eyes open for wildlife. Conveniently located off US Highway 40, but protected from highway noise by a vegetated ridge, you can count on easy access to the ski resort and town, with frequent plowing during snowstorms. The Steamboat Ski Resort parking is only 6.7 miles down the road, and downtown Steamboat Springs is only 8.7 miles. In less than 10 minutes, you have all the conveniences of the city, but get to come home to a truly amazing locale.

Arrival, Accessibility, and Parking:
Once you book, we're here to support you before, during, and after your stay. We will provide you with arrival instructions, local information, and answer any questions you might have. Accessing this property is easy, though it is not wheelchair friendly. A half flight of stairs (5 steps) separate the entry and mud room from the main level. The main level is split, with the bedrooms, bathrooms, game room and living room 3 steps above the great room, kitchen, dining room, and grotto. The lower level of the home is one flight of spiral stairs below the main level. The parking is outdoor and you'll have space for 8 vehicles. While occupied motorhomes or campers are specifically prohibited, there may be separate onsite parking available for unoccupied trailers. Please contact us prior to booking or immediately after booking to confirm if you will have a trailer. When traveling during snow and winter weather conditions, 4 Wheel Drive or All Wheel Drive and tires with good tread are recommended.

Summary:
A vacation to Steamboat Springs is great. But when you stay at the Bella Vista Lodge, it can be truly special. ** Rental Agreements, Security Deposits, Rental Requirements - All hotels and rental properties have some rules and are subject to some amount of laws or regulations. Please look for and review any Rental Agreement terms, House Rules, and or Terms and Conditions presented during the online booking process. After booking, a Vacation Rental Agreement will be provided. All guests are required to sign the agreement within 72 hours of booking, and prior to occupying the property. There may be other requirements. For example, Guests may be required to provide additional information about the group that will occupy the property and or identification documents. Background checks may be performed, and in some areas are required by local law. A Minimum Age Requirement of 30 years or higher may apply. Guests may be required to provide a credit card and or a refundable security/damage deposit. We will be in touch after you book to gather additional information and to email you the rental agreement, which you can sign electronically - no printer required. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us before booking.
** Amenities - Some private or shared amenities may not be available for guest use during certain periods. Some amenities, when part of a property, may close daily, seasonally, or for maintenance. As such, all amenities can not be guaranteed to be available at all times. Please advise us when or before booking if you have questions about a specific property amenity so that we can give you the most accurate information possible for your dates.
** Air Conditioning - Most mountain resort properties were not built with air conditioning. During most hours of the day and weeks of the year, AC is not needed. Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties. Check the average high and low temperatures and weather forecast for your dates of travel, and look at the list of amenities to see if AC or fans are part of the rental property and look for ceiling fans in photos.
** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.
** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. Cameras are present to ensure the property remains secure and safe, as well as to ensure that guests are honest and upfront about their planned use of the property. If you plan to bring more people than you've indicated, more dogs than indicated, to host a party or event, or do not intend to respect neighbors or the value and quality of the property, then this is not the place for you, and you should not book the property. For normal, respectful groups, we are sorry that these statements and measures are necessary. Security cameras and noise monitoring devices are an example and demonstration that the property's owners are taking steps to ensure the home remains available for rental, and in good condition, for your benefit. Please let us know if you have any concerns.
** Lengthy Rental Periods, Cancellation Policies, & Cleaning Fees - Long Term Rentals (28 nights or more) may be unacceptable under the standard cancellation policies listed online, which are designed to be only for short term rentals. Long Term Rentals must be discussed and approved prior to booking online. A long term rental / lease agreement may be required. A Security Deposit will be required for all long term rentals, and mid-stay cleaning(s) / inspection(s) may be required. The standard cleaning fee quoted as part of any booking is for the final cleaning, which is to be performed after the rental period has ended. For guests who are booking a lengthy stay of more than one week, a mid stay-cleaning fee equal to the final cleaning fee may apply for the second week, third week, and so on. If you are booking for a lengthy stay, please contact us before booking online to discuss your group, your dates, the rates, the cleaning schedule, etc.

Fantastic House (OWNERS NOT FLEXIBLE)

The house is fantastic with amazing views. It is a little way from Steamboat we drove in so this was not a problem. We all enjoyed the large hot tub. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The primary bed is very tall and requires step stool. The kitchen is well stocked and well laid out. We did take a Keurig and Nespresso. The game room was very nice for the teens. We did have trouble with the fireplace in the TV room. You must use the firestarters and there were not left for us. Once the maintenance person gave us the firestarters it worked great. The maintenance person was very knowledgeable and friendly. He did not have any luck with the TV. We were unable to get youtubetv to work. Even the teens could not figure it out. The property managers were very responsive and a great help with any questions. The directed us in the use of the lockers that come with the property and that was such a great bonus. The problem came when I informed them possibility 2 extra ten year old may sleep on the couch. This request was denied. Our family has been skiing for over 50 years. We have taken our kids, youth groups and now our grandkids to almost every ski town in Colorado. NEVER have I been told that a child could not sleep on the couch, of which there are several in this house that even an adult could have slept on. Children have sleep on the floor in a sleeping bags for years. Outside cameras verify the number of persons. I was flabbergasted! Be warned.
