Sauna, Outdoor Pool, Hot Tub, Ski In/Out - Storm Meadows Club

Storm Meadows Club A 314 by Mountain Vacation Lodging offers an ideal location with a plethora of on site amenities and comfortable, tasteful furnishings. This location is ski in ski out with direct access to the national forest for summer hiking or biking. Onsite amenities include a heated pool, hot tub, fitness center, tennis court, saunas and locker rooms. The condo is on the third floor and features a gas fireplace, leather sofa, large HDTV, and a fully equipped kitchen. Please read on for more details.

The Property:
The condo is all on one level. When you enter, you'll find a bench where you can sit down and remove your shoes or ski boots. There are also coat hooks and built in storage cubbies. Throughout the condo, you'll find that the ceilings are nice and high, with tongue and groove wood paneling and large exposed beams that have been painted white to brighten up the space. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are all one large space where even larger groups can gather together in comfort. On cool summer evenings and during the colder seasons of the year, you'll really love the warmth of the gas fireplace. The dining table seats 6 and the kitchen is fully equipped for those who want to cook, including pots, pans, dishes and utensils. You might even find some spices, oils, or other basics waiting for you in the cabinets. Bedroom 1 is a good size, easily accommodating a King and matching bedside tables as well as a chest with HDTV. This first bedroom is a suite, with a private bathroom. Bedroom 2 has 2 Twin beds and a beautiful barnwood accent wall that reminds you of the rustic western nature of the Steamboat Springs area. This bedroom also has a reading chair, dresser, and HDTV. The bathroom for this bedroom is located right across the hall, allowing easy access from the bedroom as well as the living room, a nice feature for groups who have someone using the sleeper sofa. This condo also has a small outdoor space. Off the living room, you have a partially covered balcony. From here (and inside) you can admire views of Buffalo Pass, Fish Creek Canyon, and Pioneer Ridge.

Location:
This location is great in any season. If you're here in spring, summer, or fall, you'll have direct access into the Routt National Forest. You can go hiking or biking from this condo. Keep an eye out for wildlife. This part of Steamboat, near the forest as well as Burgess Creek, is prime habitat for moose and bears. During ski season, the hike and bike access becomes ski in ski out access. Just ride down the elevator, grab your skis or boards from the heated indoor ski & snowboard locker room, take 5 steps out the door, pop on your skis or board, and off you go! A short beginner level ski access trail leads down to the groomed Right O Way ski trail and the ski area base. Coming home for lunch, for a break, or at the end of your ski day is easy too! Just head down the Right O Way ski trail and veer right onto the Storm Meadows Ski In Access trail. The trail and signs will lead you right back to the building! The ski out is nearly flat, slightly downhill. The ski in is also nearly flat with some undulations. Skiers may need to use their poles here and there, while snowboarders may need to take out one foot to push and skate. If you don't want to ski in, or prefer to finish your ski days with some apres ski drinks and food at the base area, go for it. The HOA provides a shuttle that loops back and forth to the Gondola Transit Center throughout the ski season, so it is easy to hop on and ride back to the condo. More info on this shuttle is below.

The Amenities:
This property also comes with "club" amenities. Besides the ski locker room, the building also has its own hot tub, which faces southwest for great sunset views. If you exit the front door of the building, you'll find the clubhouse straight ahead, about 125 yards away. The clubhouse has an attendant, a small lounge area, and dual locker rooms with restrooms, showers, and saunas. The clubhouse provides direct access to the heated pool and hot tub area. Even the pool deck is heated, keeping it free of snow in winter months. The upper level of the clubhouse has a nice large fitness center and provides access to the tennis court. Also, in summer, the HOA brings out sunbathing loungers and tables with umbrellas. These facilities are really nice to have when you're not out exploring the surrounding areas or taking part in the many events and attractions of Steamboat. Who doesn't want to hop in the pool or a hot tub after day of adventure?

Shuttle Service and Getting Around:
In the summer, pretty much everyone will want to have a car with them. How else would you get to and from all the wilderness areas, parks, rivers, lakes, and national forest trailheads? In ski season, guests will love this location, and the fact that you probably don't need a car! That's because in ski season, the development has a free shuttle service. During the day, it loops back and forth to and from Gondola Square, the heart of the mountain village. From there, you can easily walk throughout the mountain village, or hop on the free city bus for a ride anywhere in town. Many of the ranches and attractions or winter activities outside of town, such as snowmobiling or the Strawberry Park Hot Springs, offer a tour option where they'll come pick you up. So you have lots of options outside of renting or bringing a car. If you're planning to head out to explore town during ski season, at night, that's when you might need to make use of one of Steamboat's taxi options. Fortunately, for guests at this condo, you probably won't need transportation much at all. Once you have your skis or boards, starting your day is as simple as getting yourself ready and strapping on your skis or board!

Arrival, Access, and Parking:
Once you book, we're here to support you. We offer professional concierge services, provide you with arrival instructions and answers to any specific questions you might have. When you arrive, access is easy. There are zero stairs between the parking lot and the building entrance. Once inside, you can take the elevator or stairs up one floor to the condo. If you'll have a vehicle of your own, the parking is an outdoor lot and spaces are not assigned. Sorry, trailers are not allowed, per HOA guidelines, but if you plan to bring one, there are options for parking them off site. Contact us for details.

In a typical year, they are open all ski season and then again from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. If you are visiting between the end of ski season and Memorial Day, or between Labor Day and Thanksgiving, please contact us to confirm if they will be open during your dates.

Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties. ** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.
** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. This was a clean, well kept condo. Good location. My only comment would be with regards to the “Ski In/Ski Out”. It’s quite the process to ski in and ski out - specifically in the spring.

We had a great time at the property. We enjoyed the ski in and out feature and the equipment storage room with easy access down the hall to the ground floor side exit/ entrance. After skiing we enjoyed the Rec center across the parking lot that had showers, sauna, pool and hot tub. The kitchen was perfect for the few meals we prepared and the beds and rooms were comfy. We also used the TV to stream youtube and watched a little cable too. The parking was good although sometimes had to drive through several inches of fresh snow. Life is hard. Someone needs to ski the powder.

Great Location. Ski in / Ski out ish. Room had everything we need. Check in was a little cumbersome. Communication with property management only available by phone. Does not respond on VRBO app.Worst thing was the shuttle service. Does not run as often as other services in Steamboat and stops running at 5:30

We loved our stay at the condo. It was well equipped and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable as was the furniture in the living room. The gas fireplace heated the room in minutes.There were ample coffee filters, and lots of seasonings to cook with. There were several issues that should be addressed. The shower doors require a minor repair which was never completed while we were there and the glass door almost fell on me once and another time on my daughter. The shuttle stops at 5:30. Apparently, there are other shuttles that will pick up and drop off from Storm Meadow A but everyone we spoke to was unsure which shuttle to take. The transit center is a mess, no fault of the condo and more a criticism of Steamboat management.Towel cards are required for the hot tub/pool or gym but none were provided. Some attendants let it slide others gave us a bit of a hassle. The condo only has 3 key fobs, not ideal if the are 4 guests each going in a different direction. Most disappointing was the absence of a grill!In the past I have relied on the grill for most of my cooking, that way the smell of burgers, bacon, sausage, steak and chicken all stay outside and do not permeate the clothing. Despite these issues, none of which were major I still highly recommend this condo as a good deal, very comfortable and convenient. I hope to return next year.

While the property and room were very nice, the whole reason i chose it was for the Ski In Ski Out access and it was closed because of conditions even though there was plenty of snow. Also i did use it a couple times anways, and it is not that easy especially if you have smaller kids then it bexomes a real struggle. I felt i was decieved by the description and headline of this properties Ski In Ski out accessibility and would definitely choose somewhere else in the future with easier access and that stays open. I paid for ski in/out access and didnt get it.

Condo is comparable to most of the units in Storm Meadows. Well appointed with kitchen supplies and every thing else you need. Only inconvenience was unit number was not on lock box causing some stress at check in.

Just as advertised. Clean and conformable condo with nice amenities. Pool and hot tub cleaned daily and the building/grounds and well taken care of. Beds are conformable and all furniture is in nice condition. Unlike what another reviewer posted, the unit is a skiin/out with a marked path that i was about navigate both ways on a snowboard buckled in. Even if you dont have enough speed, its a 30 second walk.

The Ski In/Ski Out advertising was a little off, It was difficult to Ski In. More like Hike in. The shuttle service stops at 4:30 at A Club, yet the B and C club have access until late into the night. This was MAJOR inconvenience that needs to be addressed. I would stay in another club next time, not A
