Cottage a Steenbecque

“We booked our trip the day before as a last minute break. Sabine is a wonderful host who made us feel very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The gite is very close to the Belgian border and we visited several historic sites as well as a brewery tour. Would highly recommend as a base for anyone wishing to explore Passchendale, Ypres and other WW1 places of interest. Thank you Sabine, we very much enjoyed our stay.”

“Heel mooie locatie met de rivier die door de tuin loopt we hadden prachtig weer voor ons weekentje, het huis is heel mooi ,toch zou er wat opfrissing mogen gebeuren zoals enkele toestellen (vaatwasser,koffiemachine) ook de tuinmeubelen zouden eens mogen vernieuwd worden anders kan ik die locatie enkel maar aanbevelen TOPWEEKEND!!!”

“Séjour très agréable, l'accès par le bac à chaîne dépayse immédiatement et plaît beaucoup aux enfants, comme les promenades en barque. Le gîte est bien équipé et confortable.”

“Felt safe, wasn’t busy when there and the pool is bigger than expected. Enjoyed our stay and someone was always there to help if needed.”

“We had a very nice stay. The pool is really nice. It is shared with 3 other houses, so we didnt always have the pool to ourselves (I think approximately 1/3rd of the time shared). The garden area is really nice with animals and a playground. House had everything we needed.”

“Bij het toekomen was het huisje niet proper. Er waren zaken zoals wifi en vaatwas niet aanwezig die wel vermeld werden op de site. Gastheer niet gezien bij toekomen of vertrek. doucheputjes liepen niet goed door, WC water spoelde niet goed weg. De accommodatie in de keuken was niet optimaal o.a. de oven werkte niet zoals het moest, inventaris klopte niet met het aanwezig service. Eenmaal bij het naar huiskeren een gepeperde rekening gekregen voor een zetel die niet door ons kapot was gegaan...

“Maison très agréable, située au cœur d'un très beau domaine (haie d'arbres majestueuse, étang...) au milieu des champs. Calme, tranquillité et confort. Florence est une maîtresse des lieux très attentionnée... Idéal pour une famille avec enfants d'autant que les plages de la Côte d'Opale sont à 20 mn de voiture.”

“Schoon, netjes, comfortabel en veel ruimte. Hartelijk welkom. Rustige omgeving, mooie regio. Diverse dieren (paard, ezel, geiten, eenden) maken het levendig.”

“We had a lovely stay here. The surroundings are beautiful and the host is really helpful. The children loved playing on the swing and meeting the dog Toby. We went to Dunkirk museum, Lille, Bruges, Ypres and Brussels. There are shops a ten minute drive away which are easily accessible. We would definitely return in the future! Thank you!”
