“It was well maintained and had very good service .”

“Tutto come da aspettative tranne che per la evidente inefficienza del servizio di colazione, a mio giudizio dipendente dal numero insufficiente di personale addetto. Cibi qualitativamente buoni ma tempi di attesa molto lunghi per cibi e bevande che, spesso, vengono portati anche non aderenti a quanto ordinato. Credo basti aumentare il personale dedicato ma se non lo si fa la colazione diventa un’avventura.”

“Posizione periferica, servita dall'autobus n.44 (la fermata è a 50 metri sulla destra come esci dall'albergo ) l'autobus passa ogni mezz'ora e ti porta in qualsiasi punto del centro. Albergo molto carino, arredato con gusto.”

“An ideal spot for single, twenty to middle aged traveler not interested in exterior aesthetics and traveling on a budget. It's an out of the way location in the heart of north Philly but blends in so well with the neighborhood, you'd never believe the quality of it's interior and security. Parking is typical inner city. Set your vanity aside and enjoy it with an open mind.”

“Room - not clean, with previous guest belongings were still all over the room. Cleaners - never came 2hrs after there were scheduled. Owners - of the establishment were highly unprofessional. Urgently requesting for me to cancel/refund my reservation 2hrs after check-in bc they had double booked my reservation and would not be able to house my party of 2 for the weekend. They also specified that there were no refunds and gave me a hard time getting my refund. All in all I would not advise anyone...

“DO NOT STAY HERE. We had booked two bedrooms and the one bedroom was not clean. The bed was not made and the towels were not changed and it smelled horrible in there. We had three people so we had to book a different place to stay for the night. We could not get in contact with the hotel after calling multiple times and communicating with hotels.com as well. They are not refunding us. ”

“This is a wonderful place to stay for the weekend. We stayed only one night and if needed we could have stayed long. Next time we are in Philly we will absolutely stay there again. It’s no frills but doesn’t need to be!”

“Front staff apathetic. The grounds were great, hotel breakfast was fine. The shower needs help in the handicap bathroom in the room we stayed in. Water everywhere. And the shampoo and conditioner where in the wrong bottles”

“The Gables is a magnificent 19th century building. The owners have done a great job of decorating and restoring to reflect the period of the home. My wife has dietary restrictions, and the staff fully accommodated her. Breakfast is served at eight, but Cesar gladly fed us at 6:30 so we could catch a flight. The grounds are beautiful, with a wraparound porch. Off street parking is available. Location is excellent, with a trolley stop right in front of the house. Good restaurant selection within...

“Beautiful, large room wtih tasteful, thoughtfully-selected furniture and amenities. Location was excellent for visiting the historic landmarks. Media system in room was problematic and did not work over the 5-night visit. Efforts to fix it were unsuccessful.”

“Very clean and nice bar staff. The spicy chicken wings there were amazing. Negative’s are expensive valet. Area where the hotel is the ghetto part of downtown. But walkable distance to Starbucks and shopping. And didn’t realize this when I booked. But no pools in this hot heat”
