“This is a cute little chalet. It slept the four of us just fine. Just a couple of issues, baby mothes throughout, back burner is burnt out on stove, light bulb was burned out upstairs, and overall the decor feels dated except for the new sofa. Also, outdoor chairs were dirty and filled with spider webs.”

Super kind & pleasant employees were more than happy to give recs of nearby destinations and adventures... all were polite to answer so many of our questions…was neat learning the history of the Inn, too. Building and grounds were so clean and quaint! Rooms were spacious and comfortable… Felt like stepping back into a different time & place; so many great little corners to relax, read, enjoy coffee and/or a drink. So close to great trail heads and fun towns, but...

“This is a very old property. The current owners are trying to update everything. I wish I could give it a higher rating because they're trying so hard. The rooms are very dated but the beds were comfortable. They are updating the rooms one at a time The location is great, less than half a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hopefully they can revive this motel. There's a great restaurant down the road in Linville Falls called The Famous Rockhouse. I highly recommend them for breakfast.”

“This is a very well-maintained older property that is convenient to central Blowing Rock. You could park here and enjoy the town without driving. Although close in, it was quiet. The manager was very attentive and helpful in making suggestions for dining. The room was fairly small, but neat and clean. It's not fancy by Blowing Rock standards, but it had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable - I slept better than at home. The property was also nicely landscaped, with lovely outside...

“The property was clean and the staff was friendly until the day we checked out. There was a used maxipad under the nightstand that we discovered only as we were gathering our things to leave. Upon bringing it to the attention of the staff, I was reminded that we booked through an outside platform so that nothing could be done. I mentioned that I would have to make sure to put plenty of reviews on social and I was told “For all we know, you put it there.” I was surprised how little they cared...

“Chetola is a very old, outdated and tired facility. They have no real amenities. The swimming pool is a dark inside pool. The restaurant is still under renovations and was closed (since before May).”

Everything was in good repair, the staff was super nice, the room was the perfect size for our family, pool and hot tub we're enjoyed and breakfast! You could tell everything was prepared with care and we had the best breakfasts to sustain us through our busy day. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. It seemed like the other guests were having the same great experience because everyone was in a great mood.”

“Sweet little cabin”

“Blowing Rock is a beautiful little town. Unfortunately, big conglomerates are buying up the small hotel properties, and the personal service that was once the rule is now lacking entirely. We stayed at Azalea Inn and were disappointed. To start, we had to go to a different property to check in. During our whole stay, there was never any staff onsite at Azalea. The grounds are lovely, but it's an old building. We stayed in a "deluxe" room for our anniversary, but had to climb a dark, smelly...
