“Lovely quiet village not far from Thirsk and the A1(M). A friendly welcome and a clean comfortable room. We booked for dinner and the food was delicious and service equally friendly. A 10 minute walk after dinner to the abbey ruins down the road was a nice surprise. Great bed and tasty breakfast. All in all an enjoyable place to stop over on the way up to the Lake District. Only down side was that we couldn't connect to their internet.”

“We arrived tired after visiting elsewhere in the area. Check in quick and easy. Our room was well appointed and quiet and spotlessly clean. The beer garden was gorgeous, a great space for relaxing. The bed was so comfortable and we really appreciated the standing fan as the weather was very warm. The breakfast was great with quick service and friendly staff. Check out was quick and efficient. The whole place had a lovely atmosphere and we really enjoyed our stay with you, thank you ”

“Cashed in some one key points for night away . Took the scenic route from Gateshead and visited Richmond , Aysgarth Falls , Grassington and Thirsk on the way . Had a couple of beers in the beer garden , freshened up then a gorgeous meal in the orangery. So glad we had booked as they were turning people away ! The staff were excellent- friendly , courteous and attentive. Lovely relaxing night away , helped by the English heatwave .”
