We absolutely loved our stay in Tamarindo! This property was everything we hoped for and more. The location was perfect—close to restaurants, shops, and all the fun Tamarindo has to offer, yet still felt relaxing and private.One of our favorite things was the easy beach access. Being able to walk right to the beach and enjoy the beautiful ocean views and sunsets made our trip even more special.The property itself was clean, comfortable, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a fantastic vacation. It truly felt like a home away from home.We can’t say enough good things about this place. If you’re looking for a wonderful place to stay in Tamarindo that is close to everything and offers amazing beach access, look no further. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Costa Rica!

Overall a great stay. We did have A/C issues but the property manager was very responsive in getting the unit fixed but we did end up having three nights of our stay with no A/C. Barbecue is a great asset but it wasn’t getting cleaned by the regular cleaning staff and there were no cleaning tools to be able to clean after use, could be good to add to the barbecue setup.Unit was great and resort amenities great, location best in town. Overall good stay.

Highly Recommend; very secure

Beautiful condo, amazing pool! Property exceeded our expectations. Very secure and the security guard was very attentive to our needs and safety. I would highly recommend and would stay here again! Concierge was very helpful.

Our overall experience at the Matapalo property was a good one. The property is located in the center of many activities, restaurants and shopping. The overall property was well maintained and there is a security guard on the premises. The condo matched the online description and pictures. The interior of the condo was clean with several necessities which was plenty for our family of four during the five days. We didn’t use the kitchen except for the refrigerator.I appreciated the abundance of beach towels and chairs. I had a question about the location of the 3rd bed and Ricardo was able to help me quickly. There were no issues with the check-in and check-out process. I would recommend this property.

Great location beautiful accomodations

The unit we stayed in was clean and large and was perfect for our family. It had everything we needed and was just a small walk across the street to the beach. The pool was nicer than expected. Will highly recommend this complex and Tropical Vacations to anyone headed that way

Fantastic

My husband and I spent a week here. This is our second time staying in Matapalo 502. The condo is spacious with everything you need. The pool has to be one of the nicest pools I’ve ever experienced. Everything you need is within walking distance. The Sol Bakery has the best banana cake I’ve ever had.

Beautiful peopeety

The condos are located in the perfect area. The pool is beautiful and the access to the hotel and beach across the street is very nice. The condo is as described. Wonderful view and very spacious. We didn’t spend much time in the condo as we were always out and about, but it was a nice place to come home to. My only feedback would be to have a few more amenities- like a small amount of coffee for morning one and a travel size laundry detergent. Overall. - very nice place to stay.

Fabulous Tamarindo Oceanview Condo

Matapalo 502 was fantastic. The two-bedroom layout was very spacious and the furniture was very comfortable. It was clean and beautifully decorated. The balcony was wonderful for relaxing and looking out at the ocean and the pool. The property management company was extremely responsive, addressing issues immediately. They were also very helpful in booking dinner reservations. I will definitely return!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great condo. Very family friendly and close to beach and all restaurants. Tropical vacations booked some of our excursions and the drivers and activities were awesome. Felt very welcomed. Our only disappointment was that the condo next to us pulled down a shade on their patio totally blocking a large part of the ocean view in one direction. No one was even there so not sure why it was closed off.

Excellent Location & Great Accommodation

Just returned from a 10 day stay at this condo and it was a great experience. The location of this place is amazing and provides easy access to restaurants, shopping, beach, grocery stores and everything that Tamarindo has to offer. I loved the large windows in the master suite and the pleasure of waking up as the sun revealed the natural beauty of the ocean and surrounding landscape. The view from the balcony was amazing and it was a treat to spend time out there every morning doing some yoga, drinking coffee and listening to the howler monkeys in the trees around the property. Despite being right in the heart of all the action the condo itself was quiet and peaceful. It was a nice benefit to have access to the resort pool/ beach access (with shower/ sand cleaning stations) and my children enjoyed making many friends and doing activities in the kids club. The condo itself is large and gave our family of 4 plenty of room to spread out in the evenings after a long day of fun. It is a rental unit and shows some wear an tear, but everything was 100% functional and it had all the dishes appliances (coffee maker, blender, dishwasher, washing machine, etc.) that you would need. The communication with property management staff was easy and they were very accommodating, even allowing us to get in a few hours early. The unit was clean and they even had a cleaning crew come through five days into our stay to freshen everything up which was a nice perk. Highly recommend and would return

Great Condo!

This is a great condo with modern amenities, an amazing pool, and ocean views. It is also right in the middle of town so you are not secluded as would be the case at many resorts. No issue with feeling secure at all times. The only issue we had was an ant invasion in a part of the condo the evening of my arrival. I called the emergency line and they came the next morning and sprayed. Highly recommended!

Construction problems

The property is great and the view would have been great had it not been for construction going on (this was in late November 2021). There was scaffolding in the next balcony, some of it came into our balcony, and we had workers on our balcony peering into our condo. So, provided the construction/painting is completed, I would recommend this place. When we arrived, we reached out to the property management firm about the scaffolding (we wanted to know about the timing of the construction, what to expect, etc.), and they told us they would look into it, but they never got back to us. Once we explained the second day that we woke up to see men on our balcony, they took notice. The management company gave us a full refund, but VRBO didn't originally have our back on this (they claimed it wasn't "on our property" so they couldn't do anything about it..."work with the property management company.") VRBO did help us find another place. So beware: You could find yourself in a foreign country with problems like this, and VRBO might not have your back.

Outstanding View

Other than a glitch or two the first night, this property deserves a solid five star rating. The view was absolutely magnificent, especially at sunset. Lola and Josef were very responsive and helpful to coordinate and arrange activities for us, and to help with any questions we had regarding the condominium. It was close enough to the beach and main road to be convenient, but far enough away to avoid the rowdiness of any late partying.

Beautiful Condo and Wonderful Vacation!

We couldn’t have loved our vacation in Tamarindo more! It was our first time visiting, but it will be the first of many! The condo was beautiful and in the perfect location being just a block from the beach and in the middle of all of the restaurants. It was super clean, quiet and had a gorgeous ocean view from the balcony. Just like the pictures. The property management was great. They arranged our pickup to and from the airport and had a cleaning service come by twice. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait for our next! I hope this condo is available for all of our future trips! Thank you for having us!
