Charming Tampa one bedroom apartment with patio!!!

Large one bedroom apartment with all the upgrades, a separate den, eat in kitchen, washer/dryer and stainless steel appliances. HD televisions, WiFi and all the charm of a newly remodeled home. There is also a back covered patio for lounging and a Bar-b-Que grill waiting for the grill-master in you. Close to everything including Historic Ybor City, Tampa River walk, Airport, Shops and Tons of Restaurants.

The photos on the Vrbo listing present a much cleaner and more modern space than what we walked into. Unfortunately, several aspects of the apartment did not match the listing.The couch was completely different. It had a cover on it that smelled stuffy. Although there were no shower floor photos posted, we did not expect to encounter issues with loose grout throughout the shower. There were pieces of grout scattered across the floor, and several tiles were lifting or not secured. The coffee table is broken at the base, which further contributed to the overall sense that the unit isn’t properly maintained. Also, the cabinets throughout the unit do not match what is shown online. The bathroom sink cabinet is broken and unusable. The upper kitchen cabinets were sticky, greasy, and had dust inside.The positive reviews and photos were what encouraged us to book this space. I thought that the host would be courteous enough to leave detergent and hand soap. But that was not the case. While the host tried to remedy the situation by sending someone with air fresheners and detergent, which we appreciate, this occurred after our arrival and did not sufficiently address the condition of the unit.After a long day of travel and checking in 3 hours after check-in time, we were expecting to enter a well-kept and amenity filled apartment. Unfortunately I’m disappointed. I wish the photos would reflect the current state of the furniture and that the shower floor gets fixed.

I am writing to provide feedback regarding my recent stay at your Tampa rental property.While the quiet location and pet-friendly policy were appreciated, several significant issues impacted our experience. First, the property description does not reflect there are 3 rentals places. Inside our rental unit: The bed was heavily sagged and worn, the floors were noticeably uneven, and there was a persistent, unpleasant odor throughout the unit.Most concerning was the situation regarding the shower. After we reported the showers handle broken and a lack of hot water, a series of failed repair attempts led to a significant flood because the main water was not shut off during the maintenance the first maintenance person attempted to fix it. After 2 more maintenance crew show up it was repaired. However, the resulting repair process took 11 hours and required tile removal and copper pipe replacement. We learned afterward, the last maintenance person was the owner with the plumber. As a result, we were confined to the rental for the entire day and missed a planned visit with our family and newborn grandchild day we cannot replace. Upon our departure, the unit remained exceptionally humid and the floors were still damp from the leak. We are bringing these matters to your attention to ensure they are addressed for future guests. Given the substantial inconvenience and the loss of a full day of our trip, I would appreciate your thoughts on how this can be resolved.

The owner is very responsive and check in/check out were very easy. The location was exactly what we needed for our stay. There were cold waters in the fridge so that was a nice touch. When we arrived there was a dirty spatula in the sink. This makes me think the apartment was not cleaned prior to us arriving. The pull out bed is thin, old, and stained. Do not expect to use it. The shower was difficult to operate. The handle to the hot and cold is broken so you either got a super hot shower or super cold. Nothing in between.

Good accomodations for two. Not far from highway, airport access yet in a modest neighborhood setting of small homes. Nice, modern kitchen renovation. ? There was no winery experience!?

Wedding stay

We where down for a couple of night for a wedding. Beautiful place to stay. Rooms where clean and we where located close to downtown. We will definitely be using this listing again when we are back down.

Final Four

I was in town for the Women’s Final Four at Amalie Arena and could not have picked a better location. It was right by everything I needed to get to, just a 15 minute ride away. The house was clean and a great size for 1-2 people to stay at. If you are looking to be close to many events but not in the heart of them, this place is fantastic.

Don’t Recommend at all

This unit is not in a great area. I saw many homeless people, addicts walking around the area. There is a lot that needs to be replaced, such as: towels, bath mat, comforter, pillows, furniture. The kitchen table is completely worn down and wobbly. The couch is extremely dirty and old. The towels provided were mismatched, ripped and raggedy. We had to buy new bedding, pillows and shower with shoes on and dry off with paper towels. Note that there are 3 units located on this property. The outdoor space is not yours, you share it with everyone else. There were multiple dogs on the property which wasn’t listed. In addition, we come to Tampa for work and had requested a late check before booking. The host agreed to this and then on the morning of check out he changed it to an hour earlier. After trying to communicate with the host, he ignored me for hours. I had to wait for hours to speak to a VRBO agent to get the host to reply. Overall, I’d stay anywhere else. It was dirty, I felt unsafe. For this price??? Insane.

Clean and Cozy

This cozy unit was overall very good. Host immediately responded to questions prior to my say. The unit was very clean and had everything you would need for your stay. I had three concerns, two of which were in the bathroom. I was unable to get the water temp adjusted in the shower and the hot/cold water in sink were reversed. My third concern was the neighborhood. I felt save in the unit but I would have had concerns walking the neighborhood streets after dark. That said it was still an overall good choice and I thank the host for a well kept unit.

Multi Unit Listing

We were very surprised to find out that this was one of three accommodations on the same property. This was not mentioned anywhere in the description. We also were faced with a raw sewage smell for most of our stay.
