“A traditional no frills farmhouse B&B set in tranquil countryside surrounds with southerly views. Not too from the lovely town of Tavistock. I was greeted by friendly courteous staff and given a very spacious room for the price and a tasty cooked breakfast to boot. Excellent value for money. I really enjoyed the overnight stay and would definitely recommend to others.”

The room lacked a TV, but actually this was an absolute blessing and it made change not to reach for a remote control. “The inn is steeped in history and in a remote, quiet spot. Unfortunately our room had been left with unsightly water marks as a result of a leaking roof (which has been fixed) all over the ceiling, especially above the bed, and wall. It made the room look very shabby and for the price not great value. The floating floor feels like it’s a sinking floor in some spots and you need to tread lightly. The bathroom is modern and spacious. The staff were lovely, very welcoming and friendly.”
