“The rooms at Porters are beautifully kept, spacious and with ample amenities. The location is excellent and our suite was superb for our family. Staff at Porters are always a highlight - going out of their way to help and make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The surroundjng area is loaded with dining options and is a short drive to surrounding cellar doors and scenic spots that Hawke's Bay has to offer. We will be back for our third stay in April 2026!”

“Aircon needed cleaning out, as it had a bad odor when turned on I found a live White tail spider inside room The bed had worn out Mattress springs, which made sleeping in it uncomfortable. Toaster alliance had a broken pop-up mechanism Room could do with an update and refresh decor. Very helpful and friendly staff though! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ”

“We arrived around 11am, although check-in wasn’t until 2pm, just to let reception know that I’d be working late and my husband would be checking in later. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. Even though the room wasn’t quite ready, he gave us the key so we could leave our luggage and said it would be ready by the time my husband returned around 1pm. He was also very helpful when my husband needed assistance with the TV - great service and someone who clearly goes...

“The location was a little away from the town centre. But that was perfect when you consider the great location on the waterfront. ”

“The room was in good condition, would have been nice if tissues were supplied. The lady owner was lovely, very nice and friendly. Lighting in the room could be improved. Our main issue was other guests were outside their rooms, loud and smoking, we could not leave our windows open. My suggestion would be to make this property ‘NO SMOKING’ in respect for other guests as well a time to be inside your unit.”
