The Space:
It can sleep 16 guests across five bedrooms, with five comfortable beds and three sleeper sofas.

The main living room offers modern bohemian-style furniture, including a brand-new white linen couch, plush armchairs, a striking wood coffee table, and an entertainment center. The living room offers a flat-screen TV and a sliding glass door that opens to the poolside terrace. The ceiling is made of stunning teak wood, which carries over into the kitchen. There is a second living space upstairs with a plush sofa and lounge chair, and several windows offering lush tropical views. The upstairs loft also has a wet bar with a mini refrigerator and a sink.

The central kitchen features a beautiful, natural design, with teak cabinets and shelving and a teak breakfast bar that seats three. The space also features stylish stone countertops, rattan light fixtures, and high-end stainless steel appliances, including a refrigerator and freezer, an oven and stovetop, a dishwasher, and a farmhouse sink. The kitchen sits next to a sliding glass door that opens to an outdoor dining area, featuring a solid wood dining table that seats 14 next to a flat-screen TV. This space is also equipped with a BBQ grill, a small refrigerator, a sink, and countertops for food preparation.

Villa Mandala offers five bedrooms, each with a flat-screen TV and private bathroom with high-end amenities and finishes, like walk-in showers with rainfall showerheads, bathtubs, and stylish vanities with stone vessel sinks. The first three bedrooms have plush king-sized beds, while the second two have queen-sized beds. The fifth bedroom also has a sleeper sofa, as do the villa’s two living spaces. The bedrooms are furnished with high-end wood furniture and stylish tropical accents.

One of the ensuite bedrooms on the first floor is a private studio apartment, featuring a well-equipped kitchen with a wooden island, stone countertops, and stainless steel appliances, including a refrigerator and freezer, oven and stovetop, sink, and microwave. This apartment also has a laundry machine.

In addition to the shaded outdoor dining patio on the first floor, Villa Mandala offers stunning outdoor spaces, including a shaded terrace with a swimming pool, pool loungers, and a tiki-style swim-up bar that is surrounded by lush landscaping and fire pits to offer a charming ambiance at all times of the day. The second floor has a spacious patio with a covered sitting area that overlooks the breathtaking tropical landscape in Potrero.

Villa Mandala is a fenced property with a 24-hour surveillance camera. The property also has a secure two-car garage and an iron security door. Villa Mandala also offers a full-sized washer and dryer (in addition to the unit in the apartment), high-speed internet, and air conditioning.

The Neighborhood:
Playa Potrero
Offering easy access to three beaches (Potrero, Penca and Prieta), this town combines upscale lodging options with the charm of a traditional Costa Rican town (think central plaza with church, school and soccer field).
There are plenty of restaurants, shops and other conveniences, and the downtown area has two mini supers (convenience stores), as well as a commercial plaza with a coffee shop, a hairdresser and other businesses.
Some of the liveliest nightlife in the region can be found at Las Brisas Bar, right on the beach, though it’s normally hopping only on Wednesdays (Ladies’ Night).
Potrero has several nice housing developments with “Villagio” in the name, popular among Italians and other expats. You can find Italian gelato shops, Costa Rican sodas (small, affordable restaurants) and hotels in a range of prices (Pitaya Lodge, Bahía La Esmeralda, Hotel Isolina, Bahía del Sol).
