It is a perfect location if you are looking to wake up early and walk to the bamboo forest, you can be one of the first people there. “Our stay at the GrandWest Arashiyama was exceptional. The room was spacious and clean, reception was incredibly helpful, and the location was quiet and idyllic. During our stay we made the most of the amenities including free refreshments, a washing/drying machine, and a cute cafe situated just downstairs from the hotel entrance. Our stay here was easily one of the best parts of our trip to Japan and I highly encourage those visiting Arashiyama to consider this hotel!”

We were lucky enough to have a private onsen with very clean water at the perfect temperature on a lovely little lanai.
