Lodge a The Carolinas

“Long View is top of my list of places to stay for all time. We stayed for two nights as an entry way to the Smokey Mountains, and it more than exceeded our expectations. Amazing views from the expansive deck with fireplaces, incredible design and planning went into the structure - a credit to the owner & local builders. Comfy beds and very welcoming staff. Breakfast is enough of a reason to return!”

“Excellent location and perfect service. Recommend to everyone who wants to get good quality by reasonable price”

“Clean rooms. Not very modern but has everything you need. Small bar and resteraunt in the hotel. Wings were pretty good. Good price for the stay.”

“These glamping domes are neat and well thought out. Pictures do them no justice at how cool they are! They have all the amenities you need and then some to make your stay better than a regular hotel. Jack was also super helpful and accommodating. Anytime we have to visit the area, we will be staying here no doubt!”

“Kimberly and her husband Rich were wonderful hosts. Very friendly and helpful. Great communication leading up to our stay. Charming property. We loved the outdoor spaces and we really enjoyed Rich's top-quality breakfasts that were specially prepared for each of us. We will definitely be returning. Barry and Terri, Oct 2026.”

“We don’t live far, but wanted a little staycation! It was the perfect place for a reset. Quiet and peaceful! I can’t wait to go back! The staff made sure everything was taken care of and The room was perfect and inviting!”

“The rustic, natural location was ideal for exploring and creativity. The cabin room was spacious. The natural gas logs were efficient and heated the large room quickly. The bathroom was clean. However, the lights above the sink did not work such that the lighting produced strong shadows and low lighting. The rocker recliners were clean, but my mate refused to sit as they were too low to the floor. The breakfast was amazing. The cost was very reasonable. Good experience. I look forward to...

“The Inn is older , quaint , has your basics. The heater for the room was very old world but did the job of heating . For a one night place to stay it iswas nice. It was clean .”

“Cool little escape off a private road - unexpected for the humble surroundings - great details like a steam shower. Pristine property”

“Due to the nature of the retreat… there was no face-to-face contact w the staff but they responded promptly to text or call. Our cottage at Mitchell 2 had an excellent view of Mt Mitchell east side.”

“Clean and quaint”

“Upon arrival we had to walk the lodge to find someone to assist us with checking in. After the person we found made a call to find out where our room key was, we had to drive back to the gate house to pick them up. Our room was changed to a king, which was fine. However, there was a space heater going when we arrived and it had to stay on overnight due to being cold in the room. The water in the shower never heated up past luke warm. There was no one around in morning to find out about...

“Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....
