“We had a fantastic stay here whilst attending a wedding nearby. The owners were super helpful in terms of their communication ahead of our booking, as well as in answering all of our questions in the build up. The cooked breakfast in the morning was amazing and we really appreciated their friendliness and their suggestions for things to do in the nearby area. The entire house was very well kept and we would highly recommend staying here - thank you!”

“I’ve stayed her over 4 years ago on a regularly. I’m glad to say the fantastic food and service hasn’t changed. Unfortunately there is no car park at rear of hotel now seating area. ”

“Road to the place was verg bad. 6inch deep potholes. Pulled into very muddy car park. Was shown to the room which was via a dangerous very badly lit outside staircase. I fell over in the dark via a very bad step, injuring my arm. Ws wers so dissapointed that we left early without breakfast. The room itself, although old fashioned, was acceptable and comfortable. Hiwevef, we cannot comment about breakfast as ws did not stay. Very disappointing experience overall.”

“The clean and well equipped rooms are in a separate building to the pub itself so there are no food smells or customer noise. The setting is lovely with walks and the marina nearby. There is plenty of parking (free). All in all, great value for money.”

“This property is beautiful and very handy if you are going to an event at the assembly rooms (which we were) Staff were lovely. When we arrived there were no free parking spaces, so one of the staff moved their own car for us. The cottage is spotless, the beds super comfy, and we had a little outdoor spot of our own adjacent to the pubs beer garden. It really is a gem. When I booked it was for a twin and a double - I should have checked this before we arrived as it was actually two doubles. I...

“Friendly helpful staff, a lovely comfortable place.Our room was a good size with a large modern ensuite. Nice toiletries etc. The breakfast buffet provided a wide choice plus a variety of hot dishes to order.”

“Yes I was late for 9.00pm check in , but the pub was supposed to be open to 10Pm which it was not. Did not answer initial messages about a refund and refused a refund after Expedia called to request one. Make you own mind up what kind of place this is. ”

“No parking . Their own parking across the road was £10 per night. The breakfast let our stay down. The staff repeatedly got the orders wrong and the cooked breakfast was very poor quality. I don’t recommend the vegetarian breakfast. The lamps on the tables need removing as they are at eye level and you can’t see each other! ”
