“Nice place, convenient to the square but the TV was steaming and it kept freezing up. The desk person did not know what to do and there was not TV instructions in the room and she didn’t have any at the desk. ”

“We decided last minute to go to Dahlonega just for one night. We decided on The Smith House because it was in town and we could walk wherever we wanted to go. The room was a king room in the lodge but did not have a balcony like the ones in front. We had a small window that faced the parking garage. The parking was ok. “Steps are very dangerous as I didn’t know the bottom landing was so dangerous especially for my mother. Thermostat upstairs wouldn’t come on as it looks like it is not attached properly. The place is beautiful outside but overall not for me. ”

“This place was wonderful. The breakfast was top notch, like a top tier restaurant. The host Don was so friendly and went above and beyond to make guest feel welcome. We had a wonderful time at breakfast with the other guests. We definitely plan on returning! I wish we had more than one night. There were beautiful Mountain View’s as well. ”

“It's a beautiful place. You will have to drive if you want to explore the area. Just 10-15 minutes you can be in town. But the grounds and accomodations are worth the drive. ”
