“It’s exactly what we expected. It’s an old place and you can tell. That’s what gives its charm. We were there for the 4th of July. We got to watch the free concert in the park from our balcony. Everything in the square is walking distance. The only negative I would give, is I wish the back door had blinds. Since it’s next to the street, even with my eyes closed I could see headlights driving by. But I am also a very light sleeper. My husband went right to sleep. ”

“Our room in carriage house was 61 degrees. We could not get thermstat to heat it up. We had to get blanket. Very cold to much air in your face ”

“Our room was clean and cozy. We loved the front porch. Being within walking distance to restaurants was great. We dined at The Smith House restaurant our last night during our stay. The food was excellent! The staff are very friendly. We will stay there again in the future.”

“What an absolutely pleasant surprise to see the lodge after driving down the hill. It’s nestled in the woods and is just darling. Inside is beautiful; welcoming and warm, clean and our host kelly was the best. Loved chatting with a few of the guests in the morning over coffee. Beautifully curated antiques fill the common area. Our room upstairs was just what we needed; nice and cool, super comfortable bed with fabulous sheets that felt luxurious! I can’t wait to go back.”
