“The Hotel has been refurbished to a very high standard, to look at the hotel is gracefully even though it is a large building, there are a number of entrances weather your there to stay or even to watch the football!! We stayed and ate in the bar the food was served hot and delicious. But for me what stood out most was the staff, nothing was a problem for them and everyone was polite, friendly and respectful. In all a very positive experience and will certainly return to the Great North Hotel ”

“Fantastic stay. Stayed for a wedding. Staff really welcoming and friendly throughout. Slightly difficult to find our room, but was lovely when we got into it. We struggled to keep the room cool, but we loved the big bed and huge bathroom. Breakfast was fantastic too. Scenery amazing. Would definitely stay again”

“Really lovley area, check-in was easy and Jay was nice enought to let us drop our bags early so we could explore newastle. Of note, due to train strikes 2 of our trains were canceled or skipped the Cramlington stops so keep an eye on that if you make any appointments that rely on public transport.”
