Lakefront Cabin on Virgin Lake w/ kayaks, lily pad, firepit, sandy swimming area

Enjoy Northern Wisconsin at this charming lake cottage on Virgin Lake. Virgin lake is a full recreation lake with great fishing as well. We provide 3 kayaks for guest to use along with a lily pad and plenty of life jackets and towels. There’s lots to do around the area including bars and restaurants on the many lakes that three lakes is home to, a golf course down the road, and a winery in town.

Outdoor recreation:
We are located on the north side of Virgin lake. We have a large driveway and a large yard to play in as well as a deck to enjoy the lake views or an outdoor lunch. There is a clear path to our dock which does cross a road. Use the dock to jump into the water, enjoy the sunset, and launch the kayaks. Note that our lake does not have a public boat launch. We provide firewood for our fire pit, no need to bring your own. Easy and close access to snowmobiling trails in the winter. Ice fishing on Virgin Lake, or your pick of 28 lakes in the immediate area to ice fish on in the winter as well.

Three Lakes:
Our home is just a couple of miles from access to the Three Lakes chain if you have a boat and want to explore other lakes.

Guest access:
Guests will have access to the entire property. Use of outdoor games, grill, lily pad, and kayaks in the garage. Guests will be able to use our dock to swim off of and relax on.

The house was clean but had a funky smell. Lots of moisture; the sheets felt wet the first night we stayed. The location is good except the lake access is farther away than we anticipated. We loved access to the kayaks, but hauling them down the path and down two sets of stairs was difficult not to mention bringing them up and putting them back on the wall. We are older and it was pretty strenuous. The pictures on the site definitely elevate the reality of the place. It was pricey for the three of us. A better deal for more people. The step down into the lake was also deep. My mom could not navigate it. The sandy swim area is overrated. It is a sandy bottom but pretty weedy and dirty just a couple feet off shore. Fishing off the dock was nice. We didn’t catch anything big, but we were just catching and releasing. The freezer in the fridge needs a deodorizer. Everything in it smells like fish. For the money we expected better air conditioning and easier lake access. However, we had fun anyway.

4th of July Holiday Stay

Great cottage, clean and was nice having the 2nd bathroom and lower level rec room space. Well stocked kitchen, plenty of bag chairs, a lily pad etc for the lake. Only one tv and room ac’s but we spent most of our time out on the lake and with family anyway.
