“Stay away from the “budget” rooms. You wont find any pictures of them, and for good reason. They are disgusting and depressing. Imagine a particularly horrible prison cell reserved for the worst kind of prisoner, and you wont be far off. Austere, dark and cramped. From the outside they look like the toilet block, and from the inside you'd wish you were staying in one instead.
We had to leave immediately upon entering and couldn't get a refund. But it was worth paying to NOT stay there.”

“Abermain was a fantastic hotel. Great location to be close to the wineries in Pokolbin and Lovedale. Room was clean and it’s situated in a hotel that is 115 years old. We were worried about the shared bathroom but it was totally fine. The bar food looked great, even though we didn’t indulge after a day at the wineries. Would definitely come back to the Abermain. ”

“When we first arrived in our room, we couldn't even open the sliding door to see the pool area (glimpses of it) and the flyscreen was ripped. I went downstairs to Reception and let them know about the damaged doors. The lady was polite and put us into another room. However, the glass door was again in need of repair.
