“All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. This is the third time we have stayed at the , " Duke of York". The rooms are always clean and well supplied and wonderfully quirky. The food is exquisite, good suppliers and a talented chef make any meal you order an absolute delight. The choice of beers and ciders definately hit the spot and are excellently kept. We will, without question, be looking to return for more stays regardless of the season because any time of year is great here.”

“When we walked in the room at 9.45pm the room was freezing cold, we found the radiators and turned the heating on but at 11pm the heating went off and didn’t come on again until the morning which meant we was cold all night. Plus there was a clear draft coming through the main front door and from the bathroom. When we looked around the room there was black mould by the front door and around the bath. “Lovely stop on the way to Cornwall. Gorgeously comfortable bed and linen. We arrived exhausted from a long transatlantic flight with 2 cats and the owner was so kind to us. She saved our bacon as we honestly could not have driven further! Superb breakfast and we will definitely return 💜”

“Villa di campagna inglese molto bella con giardino. La nostra camera era di quelle piccole ma spaziosa a sufficienza con letti singoli comodi. Bagno pulito e dotato dei comfort necessari anche se non molto spazioso. Colazione eccellente, ricca di prodotti freschi cucinati sul momento. Parcheggio in loco di fronte alla struttura. Malgrado la posizione isolata, si puo' raggiungere Exeter in 15 minuti su strade comode da percorrere.”
