“The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean and well organised to suit any guests needs. The bed was very comfortable. There was no TV. The continental breakfast included in price was exceptional, with a good selection of local produce and very tasty home made granola. Other cooked breakfast options were available at a cost. Parking was available locally at a reasonable fee and supported by the hotel. The location was ideal, opposite Turners Contemporary...

“Wonderful welcome from the lovely receptionist and nice restaurant service at dinner. Beautiful, comfortable and clean room with great additions like coffee machine, tasty cookies, fan and lovely toiletries. Our only complaint was that breakfast was a bit slapdash with items like bread & orange juice having run out, wrong drinks brought out and a long wait for food.”

“It’s a very old and unique building, the main hotel has been updated to an excellent standard, Going to the breakfast room on the -1 level, you can see photos of the area and the entrance to the breakfast room tunnels under the main load and. Has a sea front terrace on the floor and the floor above. The young staff in the complex were helpful and smart”

“Easy to find, clear instructions regarding keys, etc.. Not a huge amount of things nearby, apart from the nice beach. Perhaps a bit expensive for what it is, but in the summer the easier access to the beach must be a plus.”

“We were expecting a well maintained, boutique hotel, sadly it was not. Although refurbished in Nov 2014, the state of our room (1) lacked maintenance. Although each was relatively minor, when 10 issues are present, then the result is a disappointment. I relayed these to the receptionist on departure, and she seemed reluctant to seriously acknowledge the problem. This summed up the general feeling of laissez-faire.”

“This is a basic, old, seaside hotel on the sea front. Price wise, if there hadn't been any issues, I would say you get what you pay for. However, there were issues, I made a pay on arrival booking for 5 rooms, they took two of the payments from my account several days before my stay then lied saying EXPEDIA had taken them. They had not. They were quite rude in their replies giving all sorts of excuses and blaming Expedia. The biggest issue was that there was no hot water in any of the rooms, ...
