“The Occidental Lodge is a very charming, old-school lodge that is well-maintained and absolutely spotless. My favorite part was that there were no smells at all in the room, which I loved!The lodge is located in a tiny, quiet town that I would describe as a micro-country town. If you are planning a weekday stay, just keep in mind that the only things open are a little market and a breakfast café that closes at 3:00 PM. “Very clean room, which was my primary concern, especially with budget hotels. However, we found the staff to be unhelpful and a bit rude. The “continental breakfast” is just granola bars and some bananas, nothing hot. So don’t expect much. Like I said, though, the room was clean!”
