The pud overlooked a river and in the summer months there seating available to be able to sit along side the river. We were provided with tea, coffee and biscuits. “On arrival you are confronted with building work around the main entrance and a very tired looking reception. (July 2026) The rooms are basic relatively clean but bathroom in our room was tiny. If you have long legs you will never be able to use the toilet comfortably because the shower cubicle is approximately 18 inches from the pan. The bathroom smells of damp and the toilet paper is thinner than Bronco. Only one charger plug socket by the desk nothing near the bed. We paid for a sea view...

“Lovely stay, great location for the town and harbour. Friendly staff. Very large comfy room, however it was very noisy due to being on top on a lively bar, but to be fair it did all finish bang on midnight so wasn’t too bad. However noisy road traffic lasted all night and having only blinds and no curtains meant it was very bright early in the morning. Appreciated having a fan in the room as it was a hot time of year we stayed and you definitely couldn’t open the windows at night due to noise....

“Host Karen was friendly and helpful. The place is set in a peaceful and beautiful location. I stayed for 9 days due to working in and around the location and I enjoyed it . Would not hesitate to go back. Fantastic views ,nice walks and a really comfy and tidy apartment”

“Kitchen was stocked with bread, butter, milk and jam, which was lovely but there was NO tea or coffee. However, given how dirty some of the mugs were, that probably wasn't a bad thing. There were also dirty trays left in the oven and drawer. Rest of cottage was clean thankfully. However, frustrating as limited power points, and no shaver socket in bathroom for toothbrush.
